Making a miniature of Zingu! [EN/PT]

Hello Holozing community!

I'm back with my miniatures, and this time I played Zingu!

Of all the Holozings I've done so far, this was the one I liked the end result the most. I have been improving my techniques, and this attention to the way I make these miniatures has improved my performance. I've mentioned before that I'm not a professional at creating thumbnails; I just like doing it as a hobby. With time and some practice, I'm getting better, and with each attempt, the result is getting closer to what I want.

Making Zingu was a challenge, as it has some meticulous details that had to be made as similar as possible so as not to affect the result. I reproduced the original position, which is very difficult for me and it took a little more than 3 hours to complete it.

Let's check out the creation process:

In this first stage, it was the mass colorimetry process. The clay I have here is white, so I used primary color paints to achieve the tones I wanted. Basically, there are only 3 colors, but we had to work on the blue carefully, as Zingu has 3 different shades of this color.

The darker blue is almost the entire body, while the medium tone is for the legs. Light blue is present on the tips of the wings and also on the precious stone on the forehead.

The first part was creating the shape of the head. The zingu has more pointed cheeks and this part was very simple to do.

Then I added the white part of the face. I flattened the white dough and cut it out with scissors, and I shaped it with my hands until I got very close to the design it has.

Here you can see that some steps were taken to create the face. First I made the yellow strips to assemble the ridge on the sides. I already took advantage of working with the yellow dough and also made the beak.

The eyes were also made with putty and I made this a very good choice, as painting is not really my strong point.

Here I added the topknot by pulling some dough from the head and cutting it with scissors to shape it how I wanted it. I also added the jewel that sits on her forehead.

The most complicated part of this miniature is over here, now let's move on to the rest of the body!

After finishing the head I went straight to the legs, as they would need to dry to support the rest of the body standing up.

There wasn't much of a secret here, I used toothpicks to make the skeleton and structure the leg. The feet were made with the help of scissors again.

While the legs were drying, I started making the body.

I structured the torso and used the same technique as the head with the flat white dough to make the belly.

Then it was time for the wings, which despite being simple, required a lot of work. It took me a long time to find a physical logic to create the shape of the wings, I think I was just a little tired to take so long to understand how I should make them. But in the end it worked and they turned out really cool.

Now all that was left was to put the legs together and create the Zingo pose.

So this was the result of this work!

Now I have another Holozing to decorate my corner of the shelf. I think I'll have to find a bigger place in a while because I'm loving playing with it!

Estou de volta com as minhas miniaturas, e, desta vez, reproduzi o Zingu!

De todos os Holozings que fiz até agora, este foi o que mais gostei do resultado final. Tenho aprimorado minhas técnicas, e essa atenção na forma como faço essas miniaturas tem melhorado meu desempenho. Já mencionei antes que não sou um profissional na criação de miniaturas; apenas gosto de fazer isso como um hobby. Com o tempo e alguma prática, estou melhorando, e, a cada tentativa, o resultado está ficando mais próximo do que desejo.

Fazer o Zingu foi um desafio, pois ele possui alguns detalhes meticulosos que deveriam ser feitos o mais parecidos possível par não afetar o resultado. Eu reproduzi a posição original, que é algo bem difícil para mim e foram gastos um pouco mais de 3 horas para finaliza-lo.

Vamos conferir como foi o processo de criação:

Nessa primeira etapa, foi o processo de colorimetria da massa. A massa que possuo aqui é branca, então utilizei tintas da cor primária para chegar nos tons que eu desejava. Basicamente, foam apenas 3 cores, mas foi preciso trabalhar no azul com atenção, já que o Zingu possui 3 tons distintos dessa cor.

O azul mais escuro é quase o corpo todo, enquanto o de tom mediano é para as perninhas. O azul claro esta presente na ponta das asas e também na pedra preciosa que fica na testa.

A primeira parte foi criar o formato da cabeça. O Zingu possui umas bochechas mais pontiagudas e essa parte foi bem simples de fazer.

Depois adicionei a parte branca do rosto. Eu achatei a massa branca e recortei com um tesoura, e fui modelando comas mão até chegar bem próximo do desenho que ele possui.

Aqui você pode perceber que algumas etapas foram feitas para criar o rosto. Primeiro eu fiz as tiras amarelas para montar a crista que fica nas laterais. Já aproveitei que estava trabalhando com a massa amarela e também fiz o bico.

Os olhos foram feitos também com massa e essa fiz uma escolha muito boa, já que pintar não é muito o meu forte.

Aqui eu adicionei o topete puxando um pouco de massa da cabeça e cortando com uma tesoura para moldar como queria. Também adicionei a joia que fica em sua testa.

A parte mais complicada dessa miniatura terminou aqui. Agora vamos para o resto do corpo!

Depois de finalizar a cabeça eu fui logo para as pernas, pois elas precisariam secar para aguentar o resto do corpo em pé.

Aqui não teve muito segredo, utilizei palitos para fazer o esqueleto e estruturar a perna. Os pés foram feitos com a ajuda da tesoura novamente.

Enquanto as pernas secavam, fui fazendo o corpo.

Estruturei o tronco e usei a mesma técnica da cabeça com a massa branca achatada para fazer a barriga.

Depois foi a vez das asas que apesar de serem simples, meu deu um grande trabalho. Demorei muito para encontrar uma lógica física para criar o formato das asas, acho que eu apenas estava um pouco cansado para demorar tanto em entender como eu deveria faze-las. Mas no final deu certo e ficaram bem legais.

Agora só faltava juntar as pernas e montar a pose do Zingu.

Então esse foi o resultado desse trabalho!

Agora tenho mais um Holozing para enfeitar o meu cantinho da prateleira. Acho que daqui a algum tempo terei que encontrar um lugar maior, pois estou adorando brincar com isso!
