Happy Khmer New Year!

Greetings, everyone! How are you all doing today? I hope you're having an amazing weekend. You know, last week was the Khmer New Year, and I was so very happy. Some of my family went to Siem Reap, which is the tourist hub of Cambodia, while my father went to our hometown. We both had a fantastic time, and I can't wait to share my story with you.

I had the opportunity to visit Siem Reap, which is where my relatives live, and I got to meet my aunt. My cousin and sibling also joined us as a group, and we had a wonderful time celebrating the holiday.

We enjoyed the water gun and powder festivities, which are common in Cambodia, Thailand, and many other Asian countries to celebrate the new year. It was such an exhilarating experience, and we were all so very happy.

During my visit, I also had the chance to explore the local temples. I'm excited to share the beautiful decorations and the large number of people who came to visit, including singers and other artists in Cambodia. It was truly a remarkable sight to behold, and I can't wait to share the details in my next blog post.

But that's not all! I also had the opportunity to indulge in the delicious street food in Pub Street. I absolutely loved the doughnuts, roti, and even some Mexican-inspired dishes. The flavors were so incredible, and I was truly surprised by the variety of culinary delights available.

Speaking of surprises, I had the chance to meet up with a friend I had just met at university. It was so wonderful to reconnect and explore Siem Reap together. We had an absolute blast, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to make new memories with a new friend.

Overall, my trip to Siem Reap was a truly unforgettable experience. From the vibrant celebrations of the Khmer New Year to the stunning temples, delectable street food, and the chance to connect with both family and new friends, it was a weekend filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful memories.
