Why I keep swap.hive on Hive-Engine.

In my last post, I discussed using the internal exchange to buy/sell hive for HBD. Using the internal exchange avoids transaction fees. As long as there is a willing seller and willing buyer, the process is simple and easy on the internal exchange. That Post Can Be Reviewed Here.

So, if the internal market is efficient and at no cost, why would I want to have swap.hive on Hive Engine instead of in my Hive Wallet? Swap.hive is a token that is 1:1 as hive. Hive is exchanged to swap.hive and then the swap.hive can be exchanged for any of the other tokens on HiveEngine. For example, I have Hive, I want LEO token, so I convert Hive in my wallet to Swap.hive on Hive Engine and then I can exchange Swap.hive for Leo.

I recently learned that there are several websites where I can convert Hive to Swap.hive at different fees, and then the swap.hive is stored in my wallet on HiveEngine. In the past, I have always used www.tribaldex.com. To move Hive from my Hive wallet to Tribaldex, I open my wallet in Tribaldex and then select deposit. This will move Hive to swap.hive. There is 0.75% fee for making the deposit and if I convert the swap.hive back to hive by withdraw, there is also 0.75% fee.

I read this article that shows that some other ways that are cheaper than using Tribalex or HiveEngine, such as BeeSwap written by @riccc96 How to Convert Swap Hive to Hive

See screenshot above, BeeSwap is 0.25%.
And also @Leo.finance has LeoDex which is also 0.25%

I have started using BeeSwap recently and it is simple to use. For example, once I have converted Hive to Swap.hive, I can then swap the Swap.hive for Leo token. See below

There is 0.25% fee that is called a liquidity fee when performing a swap from swap.hive to any other token. This liquidity fee seems to be same on all sites. This fee will be divided to those participating in the liquidity pool, which will be the subject of my next post.

How do you convert Hive to Swap.Hive and why?

Is there a less expensive way than 0.25%? Feel free to share below. I am learning as I am earning, so any advice is appreciated!
And to answer why do I keep swap.hive in some cases instead of hive? I want to be able to convert to second layer tokens such as SPS, DEC, and Leo. That will be my next, next post...

Success! You mined 1.0 HBIT on Wusang: Isle of Blaq. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

And, you found a Blaq Emerald (BLAQEMRLD)!

Check your bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at an H-E explorer or take a look at your wallet.

Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.

It seems that https://hivepay.io/swap/ offers it at 0.2%. The liquidity isn't always great though.
