Let the trumpets sound! Finally there is profit in Chaos packs! at least for one week...
For 52 weeks, I am opening a Chaos pack of Splinterlands cards to see if it will be profitable. The first 8 weeks have been mostly disappointing and the red ink was piling up on the balance sheet.
Finally though WEEK 9 is a winner!
It might look like a profit will occur, based on this pack alone. The return on this pack was an astounding $17.25.
We not only pulled a legendary with Efreet Rising, but more importantly a golden Epic with Wave Brood.
The cumulative cost at this point is $20.25, while the return is now at $28.53. I purchased the packs at around $2.25 on Tribaldex, which is a great discount from the retail price of $4 a pack on Splinterlands. Tribaldex has packs at $2.06 as of today, so after this great result, I am considering buying some more!

Riftwatchers might be be better if you have SPS and vouchers. Pre-sale is next week. I plan to buy 100 packs of Riftwatchers to get the new promo card and the 10 pack bonus.

If you stake the SPS, you will receive free vouchers, but then you want have SPS available to buy riftwatchers. I unstaked 75% of my sps recently in preparation of buying riftwatchers. After I have my 100 packs, I will go back to staking SPS to build vouchers and then sell the vouchers if they reach above $2.25 in value.
