Is only Domain offline? Because if someone knows IP of Server it would be possible to use the Page, on Windows only one small setting.

[@PowerPaul:] Yes. Server still online. This "company" also manages the DNS entries, so I don't know if this could work. I think your offer is no way for the normal user, but maybe it could help me to manage the transactions.

If this could work, beside the DNS fact and that my server uses the domain to resolve it/direct it to the right folder on the server, I would be curious to know, if you like to use the time and tell me.

This would be very nice, if you tell me a possible solution/idea for this case - or the case without the domain resolving need on the server.

On Windows there is in windows/System32/drivers/etc the text file hosts no file extension like .txt!!!

There you have only to add IP and Domain.

Like

999.999.999.999 mydomain.com

No # in that row, thats a kommented row.

You have to open it as Administrator, else you don't have to save them.

Depends on wich Windows, right click and chose open as Administrator should work.

After that you shuld open cmd and use
ipconfig /flushdns

Let me know if it worked.

If you Set IP an Domain in hosts, this overwrites all other DNS settings, so you can use it as bevore.

I use this if I change Server and want to test everything wotks on new server before changing domain-dns for every one.
