I haven't watched the video yet, it's a good 2 hours long 🙄

An important point from the article:

A major change to posting: to earn LEO rewards, your posts must originate (be published on) inleo.io

One of the pivotal changes we're introducing is related to content creation and rewards. To earn LEO rewards moving forward, your posts must originate from inleo.io. This means that for your content to be eligible for LEO rewards, it needs to be published directly on our platform. This change underscores our commitment to fostering original, high-quality content that adds value to the LEO community.

At the heart of these updates is a revised focus on building sustainable economics for LEO. We believe that to earn the token, one must contribute to the platform's growth and success. This approach ensures that the LEO Token economy thrives on meaningful contributions and engagement, rewarding those who genuinely invest their efforts into building and enhancing the platform.

Those who want to earn Leo must publish their contributions via InLeo in the future (from now on?). Otherwise there is no remuneration in Leo.

Even if I understand the intention behind this, I don't know whether I like it and whether it won't backfire.

To me, it sounds a bit like the dispute between Google and the publishers who didn't want Google to display snippets for free. Google was sued for having to pay for it. Since Google didn't want to do this, it refrained from doing so or made deals. As a result, the publishers missed out on a lot of visitors and the corresponding revenue. The deals also meant that the publishers ended up with less than before.

Could it lead to something similar? What if other frontends then decided not to display this content?

I personally don't think it's good to be forced to use a particular frontend. It is understandable that a distribution can only be counted via views on the corresponding frontend. But in my opinion, all posts should also be counted here if they generate views; after all, they also generate advertising revenue if they were not published via the frontend.

What if other frontends follow suit and don't have this constraint, do it better, then perhaps users would decide in favour of these frontends all the more and turn away.

The focus should rather be on improving the frontend. I have already described the problems I have with InLeo. The other frontends are much better.

If anyone has seen the video, it would be nice to know if there are any other important points in it. Maybe I can watch it one of these days.

Wer Leo verdienen möchte muss in Zukunft (ab jetzt?) seine Beiträge über InLeo veröffentlichen. Ansonsten gibt es keine Vergütung in Leo.

Auch wenn ich die Intention dahinter verstehen mag, weiß ich nicht, ob ich das gut finde und ob das nicht nach hinten los geht.

Für mich hört sich das ein wenig nach dem Streit zwischen Google und den Verlagen an, die keine Snippets kostenlos von Google anzeigen lassen wollten. Google wurde verklagt, dafür bezahlen zu müssen. Da Google das nicht wollte hat Google es unterlassen bzw. Deals abgeschlossen. Dadurch entging den Verlagen sehr viele Besucher und dem entsprechend auch Einnahmen. Auch durch die Deals hatten die Verlage am Ende weniger als zuvor.

Könnte es auch zu ähnlichem führen? Was wenn andere Frontends dann entscheiden würden diese Inhalte nicht anzuzeigen?

Ein Zwang welches Frontend zu nutzen ist finde ich persönlich nicht gut. Verständlich ist, das eine Ausschüttung nur über Views auf dem entsprechenden Frontend gezählt werden können. Aber auch hier sollten meiner Meinung nach alle Beiträge gezählt werden, wenn diese Views erzeugen, schließlich erzeugen diese dann auch Werbeeinnahmen, wenn diese nicht über das Frontend veröffentlicht wurden.

Was wenn andere Frontends nachziehen und diesen Zwang nicht haben, es besser machen, dann würden sich die Nutzer vielleicht umso mehr für diese Frontends entscheiden und sich abwenden.

Es sollte eher der Fokus darauf liegen das Frontend zu verbessern. Welche Probleme ich mit InLeo habe, hatte ich bereits beschrieben. Da sind die anderen Frontends deutlich besser.

Falls jemand das Video gesehen hat, wäre schön zu wissen ob es da noch weitere wichtige Punkte drin sind. Vielleicht kann ich es die Tage aber mal angucken.
