New DEC and Grain Pool

It was about time to see another use for grain beyond the selling of it over third party markets. There are plenty of players like myself who at times don’t have enough grain to feed the workers but hate to swap DEC for grain at 1:1 on Splinterland’s. Prior to the market swap we had to go through Discord or other means to make an exchange. The safety and practicality was not ideal.

Currently in the market it costs a little over 50 grain per a Dec. I think it’s much better than the original swap of one or one. Furthermore players can partake in the pool by providing liquidity to earn both Dec and grain as swaps are performed.

For each swap there is a 10% fee where 5% is goes to liquidity provider and 5% burned. This seems fair considering transferring grain through regions is more than 10%.

This will become interesting to watch and partake as there is now again a means to earn DEC passively. Furthermore a great way to earn grain passively too.

Looking ahead I can imagine once land expands with new raw materials production the landscape of pools to swap assets will also expand. These pools will expand the trading complex of resources in the game making it pretty much a traders market.

I am personally looking into staking some liquidity but like I mentioned earlier I am one of many who lack enough grain production in the first place. Will have to either slow my sps yields and grow more grain to build a surplus. In that opportunity cost I yield less sps but at current landscape I feel I need more DEC than SPS.
