Enjoying Netflix for free - People not log out from their Account...
Well... what can I say - here in the hotel on the island of Koh Phangan they have a Smart TV in the room. I just switched it on and opened the Netflix, as I actually wanted to log into my own account and use Netflix. Well... to our surprise, there is still an account logged in here with 3 users. I strongly assume that they simply forgot to log out after their Netflix session in the hotel room when they left. It is now also possible for me here to simply start the Netflix app on the Smart TV and watch series and movies. That's what we did because I couldn't easily find where we could log out. So now we have at least added new movies and series to my mom's and Katjana's watchlist. As a parting gift, I'm going to add a few documentaries about cyber security to the watchlist ;)
I can even change the profile pictures etc., delete profiles and create new profiles. But I don't do that. But it's funny to see that people actually use their Netflix on vacation and don't log out when they leave.
Naja... was soll ich sagen - Hier in dem Hotel auf der Insel Koh Phangan haben die einen Smart TV auf dem Zimmer. Einfach mal eingeschaltet und das Netflix aufgemacht, da ich mich eigentlich in den eigenen Account einloggen und Netflix nutzen wollte. Nun... zu unserer Überraschung ist hier noch ein Account eingeloggt mit 3 Benutzern. Ich gehe mal stark davon aus, das die einfach schlichtweg vergessen haben, sich nach ihrer Netflix Session auf dem Hotelzimmer bei der Abreise auszuloggen. Es ist nun auch für mich hier möglich, einfach die Netflix App auf dem Smart TV zu starten und Serien und Filme zu schauen. Das haben wir auch gemacht, da ich nicht so einfach gefunden haben, wo wir uns ausloggen können. Somit haben wir nun bei der Mama und ber Katjana zumindest neue Filme und Serien in der Watchlist hinzugefügt. Als Abschiedgeschenk werde ich dann mal ein paar Dokumentationen zum Thema Cybersicherheit in die Watchlist packen ;)
Ich kann sogar die Profilbilder etc. ändern, Profile löschen und neue Profile anlegen. Sowas mache ich aber nicht. Aber schon lustig zu sehen, das die Leute tatsächlich im Urlaub ihr Netflix verwenden und sich nicht ausloggen bei der Abreise.

hätte eigentlich gedacht, dass sich solche Hotel-Geräte beim Auschecken automatisch resetten, aber scheinbar nicht^^

It's very carefree. if they treat their accounts this way, they can just as easily fall for scammers. Or simply more cunning people can use their cards, passwords etc...
