Goblin Mech Shreds, Rips, & Stomps with Trample Ability

Armor is the best protection against melee and ranged units in Splinterlands battle, summoners with armor often become a nuisance and most of the time win battles because it takes 1 or 2 rounds to remove the armor and attack the enemy unit's health. Regardless of attack, hitting 1 armor with 4 damage will only destroy the armor.

But, this problem is solved by the Piercing ability, monsters with Piercing ability can hit the armor, and balance damage will also hit the health of enemy units. Goblin Mech is a good example of this ability, today I'll show you how efficient it can be with Trample ability against heavily armored units.

Stampede

This is a very tricky rule in the battle, because it only comes into effect when a Trample monster kills another Trample monster, and this way it gives multiple attack chances to a Trample monster.

Additional Rulesets: Up to Eleven

This ruleset gives Amplify ability to all units which helps increase the indirect damage dealt by Thorns, Return Fire, and Magic Reflect abilities.

BATTLE LINEUP

This battle uses 50 mana points, I can add some top-notch cards with high mana usage.

STRATEGY

This is a modified Trample strategy using different melee units. We used Possibilus the Wise to gain Trample and Reach abilities, a main tank with heavy armor was backed up by a Double Strike unit. Martyr unit is placed between Coastal Sentry and Goblin Mech to give them a boost, but that's not enough, if Martyr unit dies early then he would be resurrected by River.

Each time any melee unit kills an enemy monster, that monster will get another free attack on the next monster in line. All melee units get +1 Attack because I used a monster with the Inspire ability.

Summoner and Monsters in Action

Possibilus the Wise is a legendary promo card, this card comes with Reach and Trample abilities and also adds +2 health points to all friendly units. Reach ability helps the melee monster in 2nd place to attack the first enemy unit. Trample ability gives an extra attack to a melee unit when it kills an enemy unit.

Diemonshark possesses high armor and ample amount of health to become a formidable tank in any battle. He has a Trample ability and gains extra attack when kills a monster.

Coastal Sentry is a common water unit, she is known for her high damage and double strike skills. She will hunt down enemy tanks from 2nd position.

Venari Marksrat tanks 3rd place in the lineup and when he dies he will add additional stats to Coastal Sentry and Goblin Mech using his Martyr ability.

Goblin Mech is a backup unit, if the first 2 melee units go down then Goblin Mech will take their place and destroy enemy lines. His Piercing ability helps him damage the health of the enemy unit with remaining damage points after removing the armor.

River Hellondale is a legendary water unit and she revives a dead monster once per battle. She is specially used to resurrect Venari Marksrat upon his death to enhance the stats of a friendly monster twice in a battle.

Demented Shark is the last unit in this battle and its only purpose is to boost the attack of all melee units, this will help destroy the armor very easily.

Despite heavy armor and high-health monsters, this battle only lasts for 4 rounds because of Goblin Mech's crazy attack spree. You'll sure like this battle as it shows new ways to use Goblin Mech in our battles.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

Kelya Frendul surrounds his army with mage armor and also gives them extra speed. Possibilus the Wise adds +2 health to all friendly units and bestows them with Reach and Trample abilities.

All units gain Amplify ability from the monoliths erected on the battlefield, now they can do extra indirect damage such as Thorns or Magic Reflect.

Round 1
Arkemis the Bear and Venari Wavesmith strengthen the armor of enemy units and make them stronger against melee and ranged attacks.

Demented Shark uses a water booster to add +1 to melee attacks of all friendly units giving them more hit power.

Round 2
"Nothing stands in our way of victory, even your pathetic armor boost is useless here." shouts Coastal Sentry and slits Arkemis's throat not once but twice and leaves him dead on the ground.

Venari Marksrat is ready to die in the line of action, he is attacked by Deeplurker and revived again by River Hellondale.

Flying Squid ends the life of Diemonshark and sinks him into the depths of the sea.

"Death is my gift, kill me and you'll regret the consequences." threatens Venari Marksrat to enemy units, Riverboat Captain hurls a blasting magic ball and kills Marksrat in an instant. His death becomes fruitful for Coastal Sentry and Goblin Mech.

Round 3
Unstoppable Coastal Sentry slashes Nerissa Tridawn's tanned skin and turns her into a blood-soaked corpse on the ground. "When I hit, I ensure it slices the very existence of a creature, I hope now you realize the power I possess, bitch" says Coastal Sentry in sheer aggression.

Goblin Mech is activated in a frenzied state, it has a huge drill and sharp claw to penetrate his attacks through any heavy armor.

Its first victim is Nerissa Tridawn and then he drills through Deeplurker's armor and injures him badly.

Riverboat Captain blows Coastal Sentry with a powerful magic ball and kills her.

River Hellondale mourns the loss of an ally "Oh my best friend, your loss is irreparable, we'll avenge your death and bury you with the highest honor."

Rounds 4
Goblin Operator pulls some levers and engages stomping mode.

"Everyone stays away from the mech, it will destroy anything in its way, so off to safety, hurry up." warns Mech's operator to his allies.

Goblin Mech slices Deeplurker into multiple pieces, jumps on Venari Wavesmith, and turns him into a minced state, and finally, it crushes Riverboat Captain with his both mechanical feet.

The battle is over, Possibilus the Wise announces the victory and orders his team to report back to the barracks. "Tonight we celebrate our victory and pay tribute to our martyrs, join me in the town hall guys."

STRATEGY OUTCOME ANALYSIS

The first round was just a test of powers, but the real game starts in the 2nd round when Arkemis was killed, and then a killing spree started until 4th round when all enemy units turned dead.

It was tough to stand against magic damage, but thanks to River Hellondale's Resurrect which revives Venari Marksrate and adds extra stats to Costal Sentry and Goblin Mech. Giving all my melee units a +1 attack also helped a lot in removing the armor of enemy units within 1 or 2 attacks.

Trample ability shined in this battle as every kill added an extra attack to the next enemy unit in line and this was the key to my victory. Coastal Sentry did a lot of damage to enemy units with her double strike and extra attack.

Goblin Mech came later, but the way he swept away 3 enemies in a row was something I had never seen in my Splinterlands lifetime. Its attacks ripped through the armor and damaged health with its remaining attack. I must try him more often when using Possibilus as a summoner.

A wonderful experience using Goblin Mech and I'll keep creating new strategies with this card.

Hello my friend,

Possibilus is a beast in the Stampede ruleset allowing the melee monsters to attack from the second position and trample the enemy. I never think about using the goblin mech and it was an amazing idea to combine him with the Merkrat!
