Agor Longtail, Bane to Super Sneak Ruleset

When your backline monsters are in danger of being attacked by the enemy's stealth units, you need to think about a powerful Taunt monster who can save them from Sneak, Opportunity, and Snipe attacks.

Helios Matriarch knows a capable behemoth who can not only take big damage but also knows agile ways of dodging attacks. This monster is known as Agor Longtail, he flies high in the sky, his flame attack can incinerate the enemy into ashes, and his draconic armor is capable of consuming magic damage.

Super Sneak

This ruleset provides Sneak ability to all melee monsters, the ability allows a monster to attack the last monster in the opponent's backline. Remember, this ability won't work on monsters with Camouflage ability.

Additional Rulesets: Armored Up

All monsters gain +2 additional armor before the start of the battle. Armor protects the monster's health from being attacked by melee and ranged monsters.

BATTLE LINEUP

45 mana is assigned in this battle, so I selected some high mana units for this battle.

STRATEGY

I wanted Sneak monsters to attack only one monster and this way I could save my backline from being destroyed by sneak attacks. Agor Longtail was the right unit in that situation because he could evade some melee attacks using his Flying ability.

Scavo Hireling and Swamp Spitter were used to repair Agor's armor after taking damage in each round. I also used a Demoralize monster to reduce the melee damage of enemy units. Relenor Cleaver was a heavy hitter with Bloodlust, he could gain more stats once he killed a unit.

Summoner and Monsters in Action

Helios Matriarch is the bringer of Dragons and Gladiators and she increases the Speed of friendly units by 1 point. She is a Dragon summoner and can also summon 1 Gladiator unit in the battle.

Agor Longtail is a Dragon unit and uses magic and melee attacks to destroy any enemy unit. His Flying ability gives him good chances to evade melee and ranged attacks and his Void Armor protects him from magic damage as the armor takes any magic damage on itself. He lures his enemy only by using his Taunt ability and no other unit during a battle makes him the protector of the backline units.

Disintegrator is a common unit placed in 2nd position, he fills fear in all enemy's melee units and makes them lose 1 melee attack point using his Demoralize ability.

Relenor Cleaver is a rare Gladiator unit, trained in the Praetorian arenas, he craves for blood and when he kills a unit, he gains additional stats through his Bloodlust ability. He can also attack from the 2nd position with his Reach ability.

Scavo Hireling is a common neutral unit, but he is also a very useful monster. He repairs the damaged armor of any unit in a battle.

Swamp Spitter stands in the 5th position, he has the ability to repair broken armor and also use his dart gun to attack from behind.

Torrent Fiend is a 0-mana costing unit, so when there is an empty space just put him as an additional unit. Since he is a melee monster, he will get Sneak ability due to the Super Sneak ruleset and attack from behind.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

Thaddius Brood's dark magic decreases the health of Helios Matriarch's units and also reduces the magic attack of magic monsters.

Helios Matriarch spreads her arms, floats in the middle of the battlefield, and improves the Speed of all friendly units.

Round 1
Disintegrator eyes become red hot and emit some kind of rays that reduce the size and damage of melee weapons of enemy units.

Rounds 2 to 3
Even the combined damage of all enemy units cannot prick the armor of Agor Longtail, they try hard but to no avail, they fail.

"Look upon powerful Alvar, how strong he looks with armor, but now my sharp claws have ripped it into tiny pieces." roars Agor Longtail and slashes him with his huge claws.

Legionnaire Alvar falls to the ground with his gut open, blood pools around him as he sinks into the valley of death.

Rounds 4 to 5
Revealer just annoys Agor with his stunning magic damage, he just misses a round to attack, but no harm comes his way except this little nuisance.

As Agor breaks free from the stunned state, he shreds Silent Sha-vi into small barbeque pieces and shouts "Revealer, don't play with fire, you know you like an ant to me and I can turn you into ashes quite easily."

Relenor Cleaver who injured Harklaw is now ready to end his existence on the battlefield. He jumps high with his axe raised in the air and cuts Harklaw into 2 equal pieces from head to torso.

Round 6
Venari Bonesmith stands in front of Agor shivering and shaking as death looms upon his head.

Agor Longtail complains "Is there any unit in your lineup of my size, I am tired of killing puny rodents." and pricks Venari Bonesmith with his foot-long nail.

Rounds 7 to 8
Revealer knows if he does not stun Agor his body will be charred and cut into pieces, so again starts to stun Agor.

"So, you think stunning Agor will stop your death, haha, my darts are enough to bleed you to death." guffaws Swamp Spitter and shoots lethal darts on his neck and kills him.

Relenor Cleaver's axe is ready to crack Gargoya Lion's stony existence, "My axe works like a hammer to break creatures made of rocks and concrete." says Relenor with pride, and again lunges toward Gargoya Lion and shatters his head into several broken pebbles.

STRATEGY OUTCOME AND ANALYSIS

This strategy has no flaws and it worked successfully to deliver the desired result in a perfect win.

Agor Longtail never disappoints in any battle if his armor and health are taken care of by support units. I know my opponent has weak cards, but even if he or she had used level 2+ cards, Agor had a good armor-repairing team behind him, and once Harklaw went out of the game, Relenor became powerful and could easily have defeated the opponent's units.

So, in this battle, I used Agor Longtail as a tank and we have 1 strong backup unit in the form of Relenor Cleaver. Disintegrator also helped a lot in this battle by reducing enemy melee attacks by 1 point, which means it would have taken ages to finish my backline.

The way this lineup is prepared, I don't see any further change to be made, unless I replace the summoner with another low mana card, then maybe I could replace Torrent Fiend and Relenor Cleaver with other suitable cards such as Goblin Mech or Kulu Mastermind.
