WE 107: The moment I feel embarrassed

Hello everyone, it's good to be here again for another weekend engagement. Thanks to @galenkp for the great initiative.
The topics for this week are very interesting to talk and I will like to go for the third topic;

The most embarrassing

Tell us about the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you personally, how it made you feel and how it impacted your life when it happened and into the future.

At a point in life, there will be a time that that we will feel embarrassed and wish the earth will just open and swallow us. It might take a second, but to the embarrassed person that second is like hundreds hours, the time will cease to move and be on standby mode.

It happens to me on my birthday in year 2018, my brother and his friend decided to take me out to have fun, being an introvert I was so happy when I heard where they are taking me so I prepared myself for the special outing. To me it is a special outing because I don't use to go out or let me say I hate outing but this particular one I have to go because it was for me.

They took me to different places that I don't know that I've not been before and later in the night we decided to go to cinema to avoid the traffic.

Here in my city, elevator is not common because we barely have high building so when we get to the cinema, we are to go to the tenth floor so we have to use elevator.
It's my first time of entering elevator and I have watched many movies where people are stuck in the elevator for hours, the mere thought of that scares me and I was asking my brother if the elevator is save to use and he told me to relax.

I don't know the plan they have for me until the elevator stopped mid way, immediately it stopped I started shouting " God save me oo, my mom is at home expecting her daughter, I am still single and I don't have any child yet, save me from this calamity and let me get out of here safely".

All this while, I don't even bother to know what others are doing I just continue shouting and praying and partially confessing not until I hear people laughing, I looked up and see that they are all laughing at my silly act. The little girl that was beside me now telling me that they paused the elevator just to pull a prank on me.

I feel so embarrassed and angry but there is nothing I can do, at that moment it feels like the whole world is laughing at me. I feel like crawl into a hole if there is any but there is none.

I thought it was over until we reached home and they told everyone and I became the center of their gossip, some people even changed my name to elevator babe, I couldn't come out of my room because of the embarrassment.

Even though I'm embarrassed but it is my first experience and I learn from and I can't make the same mistake again.
