My Fancy Automatic Greeter.

It's Creative Sunday, and it's an exciting time of the week for a lot of Hive community members.

I have a beautiful craft I made this weekend and decided to share it for the Hive Learners Creative Sunday post. The craft is a simple, fancy, outdoor greeting card.

The aim behind making this craft is to have something like an automatic greeter outside the house that welcomes people even before we reach the door to welcome them personally. This could have been bigger if I knew about science, so I will just leave things to the science experts on Hive.

I made my automatic greeter from simple materials such as Cardboard, Glue, Carton, Thread, and Scissors.**

I started by making a frame. I cut two squares from the carton and also cut out a smaller square from the big shapes to create an opening in the shapes.

I joined the two squares together with glue so that the frame would be strong.

I covered the carton frame with pink cardboard. I applied glue to the surface of the carton frame and covered it with pink cardboard to make it look beautiful.

After getting the beautiful pink frame ready, I started making the designs I needed to add to the frame.

Firstly, I cut out lots of circle shapes from different colors of cardboard and made a small cone shape out of them.

After the cone had dried, I ran thread through at least three cone shapes and used glue as a stopper to separate the cones from each other.

I also made flowers with cardboard and set them aside.

I glued the cone thread to the back of the frame and allowed it to dry.

I attached the flowers to the frame as well, and it looks beautiful.

I tried making a fancy greeting for the open space on the frame, but I couldn't get it done. After many attempts, I settled for a simple greeting.

I got a piece of white paper, wrote a welcome, and also drew a smile emoji beneath the greeting.

I glued it to the frame, and that was the end of how I made my auto greeting card.

I placed it at the entrance of the house, and the breeze makes the cone move. They make a sound that's welcoming enough, and with a greeting, it's just perfect.
