Grayscale and New withdrew

“Grayscale” is one of the major financial companies specialized in providing ETFs for various digital currencies in their immediate or futures formats and other financial derivatives.

Recently, “Grayscale” withdrew its application related to the Ethereum ETF, which was directed to the US Securities and Exchange Commission for approval.

However, in light of the postponement of the decision from the SEC for several previous requests (including requests submitted by VanEck and ARK Investments/21Shares) and due to the ambiguous regulatory situation, “Grayscale” decided to withdraw at the present time.

According to what was stated in the “Reuters” report, “Grayscale’s” step raised fears in the hearts of the rest of the companies that had already applied for approval of the Ethereum ETF with the SEC, as they saw in “Grayscale’s” step that it greatly expected rejection, so it preferred to withdraw before facing rejection.

For your information, “Grayscale” had previously entered into a legal conflict with the SEC in September of last year after the SEC refused to approve the conversion of the GBTC fund managed by the company into an ETF.
