When Chicken Save your Life
Welcome to my Splinterlands Battle Challenge. Hi, Splinters. I'm back again. Normally with High Mana Cap and Equal Opportunity, players will have no problem with this. Common players will use a monster with Taunt ability to direct all the attacks to it, but it's become a great problem if this happens on a Low Mana cap with certain splinters only available. And now, I want to share how I faced low mana with Equal Opportunity ruleset with Life, Death, and Dragon splinter available.
Opportunity is an ability that allows monsters to attack from any position and will target the enemy's monster with the lowest health (HP = Hit Point).
Not Your Average Chicken
This battle happened in Silver League Wild Format when I ranked the match on Silver. I met the match with details like Equal Opportunity and 13 Mana Cap, which made me dizzy because only Life, Death, and Dragon splinter can be used. In normal times, I will use the Sacred Llama Mage and Flesh Golem combination, but not for this time. After a moment, I decided to put Furious Chicken and Soul Fiend as canon fodder and extra layered protection for them.
Since Splinterlands now have 2 formats, Wild and Modern, more people have moved from wild to Modern for various reasons. I doubt New players will know about this Furious Chicken since it is only available in Wild Format.
Without a doubt, Furious Chicken is the best Canon Fodder made by Splinterlands. The best thing is you can use this Furious Chicken almost in every battle without consuming your mana, and the price is affordable too.

The battle happened in the Silver league Wild format, with limited choice splinters and a low mana cap. I decided to use some canon fodder with an extra layer of protection, and I have decided to use Life Splinter. My reason is simple: I can put extra layered protection for my monsters with Life Splinter.

My Battle Challenge preparation is complete. I have put my canon fodder in position and given them extra protection, Protect, and Divine Shield.
Round 1
- After Series buff and debuff from summoner and monsters, My monsters were given Divine shield and +2 Armor, and the Battle began. Enemy's Time Mage targeted my Chicken, but Divine Shield nullified the attack.
- Defender of Truth dealt 1 damage to Gargoya Scrapper. Gargoya retaliated and attacked my Pelacor Conjurer but nullified with Divine Shield, and Soul Fiend retaliated back Gargoya. My Celestial Harpy saw the opportunity and killed the Gargoya Scrapper.
- Enemy's Celestial Harpy hit Pelcaor Conjurer but was protected by Armor, and Stitch Leech tried to attack My Celestial Harpey but missed the chance. Not wanting to waste the Opportunity, Dax Paragon and Furious Chicken tried to kill Enemy's Celestial but left it nearly dead.
Round 2
- Time Mage attack and kill Furious Chicken, Defender of Truth takes revenge by killing the enemy's Celestial Harpy, Soul Fiend, and my Celestial Harpy join hand and try to take down Time Mage but fail.
- Tried to win the battle, Stich Leech does not want to give up and hits Pelacor Conjurer but is blocked by the Armor. Dax Paragon can't tolerate Time Mage killing Furios Chicken. Dax kills the Time Mage with his magic, and it's down.
Round 3
- Defender to Truth attacked Stitch Leech; following that, Soul Fiend and Celestial Harpy combination attack killed Stitch Leech, and the battle ended.
Did My Strategy Work?
As expected, this plan and strategy worked perfectly. I placed Furious Chicken in position 2 because I knew the enemy would take the bait, attack the harmless chicken first, and then jump on to the next target.
