Seasons greetings to everyone in this lovely community. I wish you all a lovely Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year (in advance).
I believe many of you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations. Well, if you didn't, I hope you attended Mass or service yesterday. If you did, then that celebration alone of this great feast is worthwhile. The external celebrations are just additions.
Still in the mood of the Christmas celebration, I am here to present a lovely Christmas piece titled, "Mary Did you Know?"
As always, the focus is not about Mary but about Jesus. The song brings out series of questions asking Mary if she knew that Jesus Christ, her son, will be a great King, a healer, a miracle worker, the Saviour of humankind, the one who calms the storms and wind, and many more. Thus, it speaks so much about Christ, his magnificent work on earth and his salvific mission.
In the first part of the song's lyrics as gotten from azlyrics we hear:
Mary did you know that your baby boy will some day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.
Thus, Christ's mission on earth was for the purpose of the salvation and deliverance of humanity. And that is what we celebrate on Christmas day, the coming of the great King for this mission.
I recorded this piece on 25th December and I wanted to post in on the same day but my Laptop has been acting up really bad. This delayed me for one day... that's why I said "it is Christmas day" in the video (hehehe).
I played the song with my guitar. I recorded two videos/layers: the first, I played the rhythm of the song and the second I played the melody of the song.
I love the cool and calm vibes the song brings out. It makes it so reflective and so loving. The Pentatonix group also made a cover which is in the YouTube link below, and as usual it was mind-blowing. Although they didn't do something really extraordinary from the original song, they only expounded the unique qualities the song had and built on it. Making it so beautiful and nice to listen to.

I used to play with my quadruplets, but they have left the country and are too busy to play with me. Also, I have no laptop to do the whole editing process.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, I am grateful. I had the intention of denoising the introductory part of the video as well but the issue with my laptop made it impossible to do another editing work for now. I hope to get better with each content.

Listening to this piece or playing it re-echos in me some sort of liveliness that's embedded in music. Music iis A soul creator in a way; its progression falls slowly and solemnly so much so that the sound goes deep with meaning into the soul. Weldon @ksam for this wonderful piece.
