Spannendes Saisonfinale
Wie angekündigt stehe ich im letzten Spiel der Saison den Elfen von AlexTheGreat gegenüber.
Es geht um die Qualifikation für die höheren Ligen im nächsten Jahr. Ich würde schon gerne wieder in Division 2 spielen. Dafür muss ich das Spiel aber gewinnen.
Außerdem erhalten die ersten 4 Plätze ein Ticket für das Qualifikationsturnier der DBBL für den BB Worldcup, bei dem es dann um Echtgeldpreise von bis zu 5.000 $ geht. Anreiz genug, nochmals alles zu geben.
Schauen wir zur Einstimmung mal auf die Teams:
Exciting season finale
As announced, I'm facing AlexTheGreat's elves in the last game of the season.
It's all about qualifying for the higher leagues next year. I would love to play in Division 2 again. But I have to win the game to do that.
In addition, the first 4 places get a ticket for the DBBL qualifying tournament for the BB World Cup, where real money prizes of up to $5,000 are at stake. Incentive enough to give it all again.
Let's take a look at the teams to get you in the right mood:
Grashüpfer [AlexTheGreat]
Entgegen meines Flehens hat Jinifix die Grashüpfer im letzten Spiel nicht ordentlich vermöbelt. Zumindest der gegnerische Werfer mit Leader ist verletzt, so dass Alex ein Reroll weniger hat fürs Spiel. Das könnte entscheidend werden.
Ansonsten sind 3 mal Block Dodge und nochmal Dodge auf einem Fänger schon nervig, wenn man selbst nicht über Tackle verfügt.
Contrary to my pleas, Jinifix didn't give the Grasshoppers a good thrashing in the last game. At least the opposing thrower with Leader is injured, so Alex has one less reroll for the game. That could be decisive.
Otherwise, 3 block dodges and another dodge on a catcher are annoying if you don't have a tackle yourself.
Goddelau Greenskins [Kheldar]
Meine Greenskins haben zwar kein Tackle, dafür konnten im letzten Spiel zwei meiner Blackorcs noch Block skillen und sind so eine ernstzunehmende Gefahr für die Elfen.
Ich hoffe auch, dass mein Mighty Blow Blitzer den ein oder anderen Elfen aus dem Spiel nimmt und der Troll nicht dauernd blöd in der Gegend rumsteht.
Das Ergebnis wird stark davon abhängen, ob ich schnell genug seine Elfen dezimieren kann und nicht wieder dämliche Stellungsfehler mache, wie gegen Sprinter.
My Greenskins don't have a tackle, but in the last game two of my Blackorcs were able to skil block and are therefore a serious threat to the elves.
I'm also hoping that my Mighty Blow Blitzer will take one or two elves out of the game and that the troll won't be standing around all the time.
The result will depend a lot on whether I can decimate his elves quickly enough and not make stupid positional mistakes like I did against Sprinter.
Spielbewertung
Ich gewinne den Münzwurf und entscheide mich wieder zu kicken. Eigentlich habe ich damit bisher keine sonderlich guten Erfahrungen gemacht. Früher hat man als Basher so gespielt, um dem Gegner die zusätzlichen KO Würfe am Ende der Halbzeit zu verweigern, bzw. den Gegner zu einem schnellen Touchdown zu animieren.
Heute spielen die meisten Spieler allerdings auf ein 1:0 in der ersten Hälfte und es macht keinen wirklichen Sinn mehr. Ich hätte besser direkt angegriffen und ein paar Elfen verletzt.
Es beginnt aber eigentlich ganz gut für mich, als Alex mich nur etwas herumschubst und dann mit seinem Werfer einen Pass auf den Fänger in der eigenen Hälfte vergeigt. Ich bin zu weit weg, um hieraus Kapital zu schlagen vermöble aber ein paar Elfen ohne größeren Effekt.
Alex zieht seine Elfen weit auseinander, wie es auch Sprinter bereits getan hat. Einer seiner Elfen verletzt sich beim Ausweichen und wird diesen und das kommende Spiel ausfallen.
In Zug 3 oder 4 stelle ich ihn gut zu und dann geht es los mit dem Elf sein. Nach einer fantastischen Würfelreihe steht Alex am Ende seines Zuges, mit seinem Ballträger abgesichert hinter meiner Linie. Ich mache Druck auf ihn und versuche seinen einfachen Laufweg Richtung Endzone zuzustellen.
Leider will er gar nicht scoren und verschiebt nun sein gesamten Team an mir vorbei auf die andere Seite meiner Spielhälfte. Damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet und kann nun 4 Züge lang zusehen, wie er mich runterstallt. Dafür kann ich noch einen Elfen rausnehmen.
In Zug 8 läuft er zum 0:1 ein. In meinem Zug 8 foule ich seinen Dauntless Lineman in die Verletztenbox. Mein Lineorc wird dabei gesehen und muss ebenfalls vom Platz. Da ich aber 12 Spieler habe, ist das egal.
Die zweite Halbzeit beginnt also mit 11 Orcs gegen 8 Elfen und ich habe den Ball. Also ab Zug 11 habe ich den Ball. Davor verbockt mein Werfer zweimal die Ballaufnahme.
Alex macht ordentlich Druck auf den am Boden liegenden Ball, kann ihn zum Glück aber ebenfalls nicht aufnehmen.
In Zug 11 sichere ich denn Ball und beginne meinen langsamen Vormarsch. Dabei verletze ich noch ein paar Elfen, bzw. schicke diese in die KO Box.
In Zug 14 habe ich die Chance zum Score entscheide mich aber dagegen und stelle mich für ein sicheres 1:1 auf. Neben meinem miserablen Stellungspiel in der ersten Halbzeit mein zweiter Fehler im Spiel.
Ein 1:1 reicht nicht, um den 4. Platz aus eigener Kraft zu erreichen. Nun muss ich hoffen, dass Tyrion Raigran besiegt und das auch noch möglichst hoch. Vielleicht rutsche ich dann über die Tie-Breaker an ihm vorbei.
In Zug 16 laufe ich zum 1:1 ein. Dazwischen haben sich die Elfen zurückgezogen, um keine weiteren Verluste zu erleiden. Alex hat den 3. Platz sicher und ist damit sowohl für Division 2 in der kommenden Saison, als auch für das Qualifikationsturnier qualifiziert.

Match summary
I win the coin toss and decide to kick again. I haven't actually had any particularly good experiences with this so far. In the past, bashers used to play this way to deny the opponent the extra KO throws at the end of the half or to encourage the opponent to score a quick touchdown.
Today, however, most players play for a 1-0 lead in the first half and it doesn't really make sense any more. I would have been better off attacking directly and hurting a few elves.
It actually starts quite well for me though as Alex just pushes me around a bit and then messes up a pass to the catcher in his own half with his thrower. I'm too far away to capitalise on this, but I beat up a few elves to no great effect.
Alex pulls his elves wide apart, as Sprinter has already done. One of his elves is injured while dodging and will miss this game and the next.
On turn 3 or 4, I mark his players well and then it's time for him being an elf. After a fantastic row of dice rolls, Alex stands behind my line at the end of his turn, his ball carrier well protected. I put pressure on him and try to block his easy run towards the end zone.
Unfortunately, he doesn't want to score at all and now moves his entire team past me to the other side of my half of the field. I hadn't expected that and can now watch him stall me for 4 turns. In return, I can take out another elf.
On turn 8 he runs in for 0:1. On my turn 8, I foul his Dauntless Lineman into the casualty box. My Lineorc is spotted and also has to leave the pitch. But as I have 12 players, it doesn't matter.
So the second half starts with 11 orcs against 8 elves and I have the ball. So I have the ball from turn 11. Before that, my thrower messes the pick up twice.
Alex puts a lot of pressure on the ball lying on the ground, but luckily he can't pick it up either.
On turn 11, I secure the ball and start my slow advance. In the process, I injure a few more elves or send them to the KO box.
On turn 14, I have the chance to score but decide against it and line up for a safe 1:1. This is my second mistake of the game after my miserable positional play in the first half.
A 1:1 is not enough to secure 4th place on my own. Now I have to hope that Tyrion beats Raigran and does so by as much as possible. Maybe then I can slip past him via the tie-breakers.
On turn 16, I run in for 1:1. In the meantime, the elves have retreated so as not to suffer any more losses. Alex has secured 3rd place and is therefore qualified for Division 2 in the coming season as well as for the qualifying tournament.

Tabelle nach Spiel 9
Was ihr hier seht ist nicht die finale Tabelle, aber zumindest die ersten 3 Plätze sollten so bleiben.
Spannend wird das Spiel von Raigran gegen Tyrion. Gewinnt Raigran könnte er eventuell sogar den 3. Platz machen. Ein Unentschieden reicht für Platz 4 und bei einer Niederlage kommt es auf die Tie-Breaker gegenüber meinem Team an.
Sollte es wieder erwarten doch noch für Platz 4 reichen, passe ich die Tabelle natürlich nochmals an.
Standings after game 9
What you see here is not the final table, but at least the first 3 places should remain as they are.
The game between Raigran and Tyrion will be exciting. If Raigran wins, he could possibly even take 3rd place. A draw is enough for 4th place and a loss will depend on the tie-breakers against my team.
If against all odds I finish 4th place in the end, I will of course adjust the table again.
Teamentwicklung
Auch wenn mir das 1:1 in der Tabelle nicht wirklich geholfen hat, war es für die Teamentwicklung nützlich.
Roolag der "Totengräber" verursachte eine Verletzung und erhält so die benötigten SSP für seinen zweiten Skill und ich vergebe endlich Tackle. Wer weiß, was Saison 2 bringt. Mit Sicherheit auch wieder Dodge beim Gegner.
Kaarushk "Boing" bekommt lernt Guard, womit ich gerade gegen Prügelteams besser aufgestellt bin.
Zu guter Letzt leiste ich mir noch einen Goblin und habe damit noch eine Option auf einen One-Turn-Touchdown sowie mehr Beweglichkeit in der Offensive.
Nach einem katastrophalen Start in die Saison mit zwei Verlusten, konnte sich das Team dann doch noch ganz gut entwickeln. Ich habe sogar noch ca. 100.000 gc als Reserve.
Team development
Even though the 1:1 didn't really help me for my placing in the table, it was useful for team development.
Roolag the "Totengräber" caused an injury and thus gets the required SSP for his second skill and I finally award tackle. Who knows what season 2 will bring. Dodge on the opponent again for sure.
Kaarushk "Boing" learns Guard, which puts me in a better position, especially against bashy teams.
Last but not least, I buy a Goblin, which gives me an option for a one-turn touchdown and more mobility in the offence.
After a disastrous start to the season with two losses, the team was able to develop quite well after all. I even have around 100,000 gc in reserve.
Saisonrückblick
Mit diesem letzten Spiel verabschieden sich die Godelau Greenskins in die Saisonpause.
Es war schön mal wieder regelmäßig Bloodbowl zu spielen und Euch daran teilhaben zu lassen.

Season review
With this last game, the Godelau Greenskins say goodbye and go into the season break.
It was nice to play Bloodbowl regularly again and to share it with you.
