Road House (2024); Conor McGregor deserves his flowers.

Lovers of action movies just got the pleasure of watching a reimagination of Road House, a 1989 action movie, that was released 3 days ago. The original Movie which I never got to watch appears to have quite the reputation. I've heard a lot of good stuff about it, thanks to the hype around this 2024 reimagined version of the show.

To be fair, if a movie is going to get reimagined based on a Movie that's already 35 years old, that shows that the original isn't a joke. I wouldn't know about that since I've decided that I won't be digging up a 35-year-old movie. Haha. However, I watched the reimagined version.

Let's get into that;

Drama: Road House

Genre: Action, Thriller.

Runtime: 1h 54m

Network: Amazon Prime

Release Date: March 21.

The Movie is based on the story of Dalton (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), an ex-UFC fighter who had to quit combat sports after losing his cool and smashing his opponent to death in an official game in the UFC octagon. Years after the incident, he spends his nights fighting in fight clubs and making some bucks from that.

The story took an interesting turn when Dalton accepted an offer to work as a bouncer at a Roadhouse in Florida. The offer was juicy and he didn't have anything to lose. However, the incident that happened on his first night on the job made him realize that he was going to get into a series of brawls while on the job. He also wasn't going to run from any of the fights.

Dalton had no problem breaking up fights and getting into some with roughnecks who wanted to let all hell loose on the roadhouse. However, the plot thickened when he realized that there is a grand scheme behind the brutality that's being experienced in the roadhouse and its environs. He even considered calling it quits and leaving the town for good, but he got pushed too hard and decided to do what he does best when pushed too hard.

While the show gets the hype because of the original version and also because of Jake Gyllenhaal's track record in the movie industry, the main thing that got me excited about this show is the casting of Conor McGregor, a professional mixed martial artist, and boxer. The lad is an Irish guy and he's one of the biggest names in combat sports, all over the world.

For the record, I'm not a fan of Conor McGregor's professional career in combat sports. I remember feeling on top of the world when he got demolished in his MMA fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, the moment I saw he was cast in this movie, I got completely hooked on how he would perform in a Movie.

Long story short... Conor McGregor deserves his flowers for his performance in this movie. The man outdid himself and his onscreen presence is hilarious to the marrows. There was no dull moment for him at all.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
