Kill Boksoon (Kmovie Review) | The hype is unreal.

I was digging around the recent feature-length films made in Korea and Kill Boksoon unsurprisingly made it to my watchlist.

The movie was aired on 31st March 2023 and the hype that followed it was unreal.

It didn't take much digging to find out what the hype was all about... The casts are top-tier actors in the industry and the synopsis for this movie isn't bad either. It's something along the line of;

A single Mum who happens to be a lethal killer with a 100% success rate on contract killing decides to quit that side of her life and focus on being a Mum to her teenage daughter. She wants to build a good connection with her girl but must have to deal with one last kill-or-be-killed confrontation before having her way.

Look at that storyline... It's actually 'very bahd' in a very good way. Haha. I read that and thought; 'this is going to be one hell of a movie'. As if the cast list and the synopsis were not captivating enough, the movie trailer whetted my appetite even more.

As it stands, I've seen everything there is to see in this movie and the generous side of me is rating this as a 6.5/10 in comparison to what is expected of action movies in 2023. I think I expected a little too much from the storyline, so when it started to unfold, I couldn't help but see it as an average movie.

The standout part of the movie is a 'clash of assassins' fight that took place in a restro. That was an epic fighting sequence. The other fighting sequences in the movie were too ordinary, especially the final fight. The producers actually messed that up with too many imaginary scenes.

As it stands, you've got to know that this isn't a must-watch, but you can check it out if you want. It's also not the worst action movie out there. Lolz. It's just another reminder that I have to stick with series instead of movies.
