Gameweek 33; Another shithousery from Liverpool.

Liverpool finally has the pleasure of having their no.1 Goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, in-between the sticks. He has been dealing with some injury and Kelleher did his fair share to perform well as a backup Goalkeeper. Now that Alisson is back, there are high expectations about the impact it will have on Liverpool's backline.

As the game kicked off, Liverpool's defense got wrecked with the first attempt from Crystal Palace. It was a slow-burn attack from Crystal Palace. They calmly dismantled Liverpool's backline and got a sumptuous goal for themselves. After this early goal, memories of what Liverpool experienced in mid-week against Atalanta started to taunt Liverpool fans.

The next attack from Crystal Palace was even more ruthless. They dragged Van Dijk through the mud as he slipped and left Alisson in a 1v1 position. Alisson did his best but couldn't do anything to save the ball. However, Robertson pulled off a touchline clearance to save Liverpool from another disgrace.

Liverpool's trend of creating tons of chances while missing those chances continued. That has been Liverpool's problem since my months ago and the same thing is visible in the first half of this game. Our attacking line seems to be dealing with fatigue. That's the only excuse I can come up with and that excuse is not even acceptable. Our defense has also been incredibly awful.

Big Ups to Robertson. He's the only one that impressed in this first half of the game. He has been very solid defensively but the best bit of his performance in this game is his attacking contribution to the team. He created tons of chances and his crosses were on point. Diaz also impressed but he's still struggling to score.

Second Half...

We started the second half with a quick sub. Endo was subbed off for Szobo. Bradley also had to be sadly taken off because of a nasty injury. Seriously, that injury is undeserved. It's such a pity. I'm happy to see Trent back in the squad, but having to lose Bradley to injury is such a sad way for him to step out of the game.

The entire second half of the game was depressing for Liverpool. They were creating a lot of opportunities. And, everyone at the attacking line had moments of missing very well-laid goal-scoring opportunities. Salah, Nunez, and Diaz had a lot of chances and couldn't make anything out of it. Jota came on and also couldn't do anything.

Curtis Jones missed a 1v1 opportunity that was laid out for him through a counterattacking play. I bet that miss will be hard to forget. The game ended as another loss for Liverpool.

Liverpool 0 - 1 Crystal Palace

Now, folks are asking questions about our chances of challenging for the EPL title this season.

What a footballing day!

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

The match and all other matches we've played since few weeks ago have been very frustrating for Liverpool fans. It's a rough experience.
