Family: You say you love them... Do you mean it?

I've always known that there is something peculiar about the relationship between families. Every relationship has it's up and down and the same goes for the relationship between families. In fact, I'm pretty sure that there are families where brothers hate each other to death and sisters just can't stand the sight of each other.

Wait till you hear the interesting part of that relationship... Even when they hate each other to death or they prefer to be around strangers instead of being around each other, they will always reach out to one another when they are going through hardship. This is why it's never a surprise to see that families are always the ones that will be at your side when the going gets tough.

Looking at families from the outside, you will think that all parents and their children are inseparable. The same goes for siblings. But make no mistake about that... Families fallout and the relationship can get twisted to the point that they will hate the sight of each other.

All these are the things that make family relationships complex and complicated in some ways. Despite that, I have to say that the idea of families spilling each other's blood (killing) in a premeditated way is one of those things that wouldn't fly in a sane world. It just doesn't make sense to be seeing news headlines about a woman killed by her husband or about parents killed by their kids.

Whenever I see something like that, I try as much as possible to wave it off, but very often, the details of such incidents usually find ways to crush my denial. Seems like we are living in an insane world after all. It makes you wonder if family relationships are still what they were meant to be.

Do you love your family, as much as you think you do?

Think about that for a minute...

It's bad enough that the world is getting nastier because people are no longer nice to each other, but if we have to also be wary of our own family because of fear of being hacked to death in our sleep, then, only goodness knows what will become of human race. I can't even start to imagine how chaotic people's life would be if the world twists towards that direction.

In this golden age of mine, I can't think of anything that will be more rewarding than to see my family spend quality time with each other while laughing from side to side. I still believe so much in the genuineness of family relationships and I'm quite lucky to be born into an immediate family where we genuinely want the best for each other.
