Hello everyone! This is my entry to the ZapFic Friday Story Challenge that requires participants to tell a complete story in just 50 words. Is it simple? Why not give this challenge a try?

You can participate by clicking here. The prompt for this week's challenge is "persist".

Rules Of The Challenge

  • Story must be exactly 50 words
  • Story must be posted to the Freewrite community
  • Drop a link to your entry in the comment section of the challenge post
  • Use tags #freewritehouse and #zapfic.
  • Attach a screenshot of your word count in your post.

Here is my short story. I hope you enjoy reading it.

I sighed in annoyance. The dodonkwa snack didn't turn out the way grandmama makes hers.

"So? How was it?" She asked. I showed her a plate of the burnt snack with a scowl.

She clicked her tongue in disapproval. "You must persist until you get it right. Do it again."

Nice! I can be very persistent when I am going after something I really want to do well. What we tend to forget is that they probably didn't get it right the first time either.

True. In most cases, we don't succeed after the first try. It usually takes persistence to achieve perfection! Thanks for your comment. !CTP !LADY 🙂

Well done, @kemmyb. It’s difficult but fun to tell a story in so few words!

I agree. After much editing, squashing a story into 50 words is fun! Thanks so much for your visit. ☺️ !LADY !LUV
