I agree with you that fame is overrated. And you've reminded me of a documentary I watched. Where David Beckham was involved in a charity bike ride through the Amazon.
Towards the end of one day, a bike problem prevented the cyclists from continuing to their intended stop. And they had to set up camp to wait for replacement parts the following morning. During a chat, Beckham said it was the first evening in years that he wasn't scheduled to be doing something, or being somewhere. That struck me as being too high a price to pay for the trappings of fame.

An interesting account that clearly shows the price one pays for fame, indeed. For us, ordinary people, fame can seem like something wonderful, but everything has its heavier side. Personally, I would hate to be famous.
Well it's OK to be HiveFamous. A term I just coined to describe people who are well known on Hive. But you don't get mobbed - only upvoted. And nobody in real life has a clue who you are! π
