Time management is being able to plan your activities effectively. It means controlling the time you spend on every activity you do every day. As a business person, it is important to set your time and work within that time frame that you have set for yourself. This is so important because it helps you to be time conscious and focused too. Working on a time frame, leads to better productivity.

In fact every business should be a good time manager. We all have 24hours in a day. Nobody in this world has more than 24 hours in a day. Successful people use that 24 hours very well to achieve good results for themselves. They set smart goals for themselves and try as much as they can to achieve those goals within the time frame that they have set for themselves. However, sometimes those goals may not be achieved. In business, it is better to try than not to even try at all.

I have a habit of planning my activities for the next day. With this, it helps me to be organized. Every business owner should plan ahead of the next day. Write down the activities you want to carry out the next day. With this, you realize that you become more active. It helps your work a lot easier because you already know what to do. In fact it saves a lot of time for you.

Good time management is extremely beneficial to everyone in business. If you plan your time, you will even be too busy to even indulge in activities that won't fetch you anything. Instead of going to social media to look for trending things to gossip about, when you plan your time, you realize that there are some things that you won't even have that kind of time for. You won't even have the time to have irrelevant conversations with your colleagues at all.

Sometimes, poor time management may also lead to your loss of self-control. This is so because, when you are not focused, you end up not having a direction. What proper time management helps you do is to be focused in your daily tasks. So imagine not knowing what to do at that particular time, what do you end up doing? You loose focus entirely and probably start doing things that will even not add to business growth.

People love to have their jobs done and in time too. If you are known as a time waster or someone who doesn't deliver jobs in time, you will end up loosing your customers. In fact, only a handful will want to patronize your business. You need to be time conscious and manage your time effectively as a business owner.

Time management is indeed very important.
It is so important that we can, and need to apply it also in our own personal day-to-day life. Problem is, it is very difficult to follow it. 😊

I know I get carried away with tasks which I need to do but at the same set me back. That's how it's been for me at LeoFinance: I get so locked in to something I realize later that it's too late for me to do something else I need to do here.

It's easy for some people to get carried away with to-do lists, especially if they tend to micromanage.

For someone not used to making lists, they can start with making a list of things which ABSOLUTELY need to get done; these items are non-negotiable.

After that, add a few items which are doable but nice to see done.

The goal is to develop list making skills which help with improving time management. After a while, the lists will match the level needed of a business owner.

I just want to add that no matter how you try to write your TO-DO list to improve your time management, it will not be 100% positive if you don't discipline yourself enough to work with whatever plan you have set for yourself.
