WHAT IS MORE VALUABLE: HONESTY OR BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF?

Hello hive friends, how are you? I hope well!

Honesty is a quality that we attribute to people's character. So-called honest people fall into the group of people who have chosen for their lives not to steal, lie, cheat or use anything illegal in a way that harms others. For philosophy, it is a concept that is related to truth, however, there is a fine line between honesty and truth. Always telling the truth is a theoretically impossible situation, as there are situations in which a complete truth would make a point morally unnecessary and wrong in life's situations. "Speaking the complete truth in some situations can cause greater harm"

At no point did I say that we should lie, just be aware of minimizing certain facts in the face of some specific reality in life.

Being true to yourself means being honest with yourself, being fully aware of your actions and living authentically, this will make you an altruistic person and your mind will be gentle and pure in the face of situations experienced in your daily life. In this context, you have to admit to yourself what is going on internally in your mind and consciousness, based on this assumption, you will project your thoughts, desires and will admit this to not only yourself, but everyone.

When I think about the context of this challenge, I am honest in saying that I cannot say which of the two points highlighted is the most valuable, as they both go hand in hand. When you are true, you end up being honest with yourself, in the same way that being true to yourself gives us a similarity related to honesty, even if in a personal and individual sense.

Both are part of human existence and one quality does not inferiorize or diminish the other, on the contrary, they are qualities that deserve appreciation in society. The world is literally in chaos, both will make the world a better place. "On a scale, both have the same weight for the world."

And you, what do you think? Is one better than the other? Comment!
