Hello Hive friends, since I was a child I always heard from my parents that there were many trains, in my childhood I remember visualizing the train passing through the city where I live, it was an incredible vision, it was gigantic, I stood there looking at it, car by car, until that it would be lost on the horizon.

Over time, this memory turned into history, there are no more trains in the region. My son always asks me: Dad, what's it like to travel by train? Even though the means of transport, I never traveled, but I always promised to take him for a walk. I don't know if I wanted to make his dream come true or one of mine, but on a trip to João Pessoa I discovered that there is a tourist train that runs from João Pessoa to Cabedelo.

Day to pay the promise, we arrived at the Mandacarú exit to wait for the train, we paid our tickets, by the way, I found it very cheap, just R$2.50. We got in, sat down and it was an unforgettable trip, the speed is relatively low and we have access to unknown areas, we passed through neighborhoods I've never been to and forested areas, wow, it was incredible. Feeling of nostalgia and when I look at my son, I see the happiness in his eyes, I don't know which was better.

The trip lasts around 30 minutes and is packed with people, as the cost-benefit ratio is important. It's not something I would always do, but it's an opportunity to understand and feel firsthand how our ancestors lived. And you, have you ever ridden a train?

Olá amigos da Hive, desde criança sempre ouvia dos meus pais que existiam muitos trens, na minha infância lembro de visualizar o trem passando pela cidade onde moro, era uma visão incrível, era gigantesco, fiquei ali olhando-o, carro por carro, até que se perdesse no horizonte.

Com o tempo, essa memória virou história, não há mais trens na região. Meu filho sempre me pergunta: Pai, como é viajar de trem? Mesmo sendo meio de transporte, nunca viajei, mas sempre prometi levá-lo para passear. Não sei se queria realizar o sonho dele ou o meu, mas numa viagem a João Pessoa descobri que existe um trem turístico que vai de João Pessoa a Cabedelo.

Dia de pagar a promessa, chegamos na saída do Mandacarú para esperar o trem, pagamos nossas passagens, aliás, achei bem barato, apenas R$2,50. Entramos, sentamos e foi uma viagem inesquecível, a velocidade é relativamente baixa e temos acesso a áreas desconhecidas, passamos por bairros que nunca estive e áreas florestadas, nossa, foi incrível. Sentimento de saudade e quando olho para meu filho vejo a felicidade nos olhos dele, não sei o que foi melhor.

A viagem dura em torno de 30 minutos e fica lotada de gente, pois a relação custo-benefício é importante. Não é algo que eu faria sempre, mas é uma oportunidade de compreender e sentir em primeira mão como viviam os nossos antepassados. E você, já andou de trem?
