Hello fellow cyclists, how are you? I hope well!

The weekend has arrived and we can finally enjoy a good and audacious bike ride. The term "audacious" was not mentioned in vain, as we are taking a cycling trip along unknown routes on the rural roads of the city of Pedro Velho/RN.

Lately, the rains have been more intense, the roads in the city where I live are very sandy, making it difficult to travel with vehicles and motorbikes, however, a colleague from the city of Pedro Velho said that the roads there are impeccable, perfect for cycling trips. .

Taking advantage of the news, we gathered a group of around 15 people, something that impressed me was the number of women present in the group, there are 8 in total, outnumbering the men, something unprecedented on our tours. We continued our journey on the asphalt to the city of Pedro Velho, a distance of 9km. Upon arriving at the location, we continued onto the rurais roads.

The ride initially was perfect, wonderful and perfect roads, similar to asphalt, but on red clay. After traveling about 4km on the road, problems began to appear, the first of which is flooding on the roads, the rain formed some mini lakes along the road. There was no way to know the depth just by looking, so someone always got off the bicycles to confirm before others passed through the place.

The second problem is the excess of dogs and cattle on the roads, our trip went through several dangerous situations, no one wanted to be the first to face the cattle, but with improvised strategies, we managed to get through everything and continue our journey. "Improvised strategy, put the bike on your head and pass through the land next to it."

The third problem was the gates, I know it's interior, but it's a road, the gates should be open, but almost all of them had padlocks, to continue our cycling it was necessary to get off the bikes and literally jump over the gates. The support car was unable to pass and was stopped at the first gate we passed, awaiting our return.

The fourth and final challenge was to return the entire route and go through the same difficulties, however, the dogs seemed to be waiting for us, it was more complex to pass them on the way back. "It was pedaling fast and hoping they the dogs wouldn't be able to bite anyone, everything went as expected."

In short, the road really was perfect, at least for the initial 4km, but the challenges encountered were surreal. The group, despite so many difficulties, found the tour excellent, something we will probably repeat. And you, have you ever suffered from puddles of water, animals and gates on the roads? Comment below.

Comente abaixo.

That's really a bike ride with obstacles. I really hate dogs running with you when you're cycling. Despite the chance of being bitten, they are also unpredictable and can cause you to crash.

I'm afraid of dogs when I'm on a bike, I've already fallen because of one. I face it, because we are in a group.
