WHY IS METAVERSE ADOPTION TAKING A SLOW PACE

All things being equal, Metaverse should be trending now but they aren't talked about much. The question we ask then is, WHY?
First, let's remind ourselves what the Metaverse is all about. Metaverse is believed to be the next iteration of the internet: where people can interact with each other in a virtual environment. The concept of the Metaverse was welcomed by almost every Blockchain enthusiast because of the beauty of the 3D virtual world it will come with and the use cases around it. With time, projects building Metaverse-related use cases started discovering the high infrastructure demand of Metaverse. Web3 became the closest internet for it.

Building a Metaverse might be difficult for projects but getting people who will use it, is the more tasking job. Most Metaverse is not compatible with Mobile devices. Those that are compatible with Mobile devices are few and happen to be compatible with higher versions of Androids and iPhones mobile phones.
Again, not every computer can be used to navigate the Metaverse, "easily". Furthermore, the cost of acquiring assets in the virtual world is on the high side. Lands and other assets are very costly because projects want to recover the cost involved in building their Metaverse. It is true that these Metaverse assets have use cases that can fetch the holder reward rewards, but if it is expensive and there are fewer users, the use cases may be insignificant.

These became big challenges to the adoption of the virtual world, Metaverse.

Nevertheless, we have seen projects still building Metaverse-related use cases with the hope of becoming the big players when the Metaverse world booms. Investors are not left out as they have also started buying coins from Metaverse projects. We can say that these are signs of a good beginning but to be factual, Metaverse is not getting the hype it deserves.
I believe there will be a Metaverse era but it will take time. The world has to completely move to web3, and our present devices upgraded to fit the web3 world.

By this, I do not mean to discourage anyone who is already in the Metaverse Market World, but to point out the reasons why we haven't seen much development and usage of the Virtual world. For those who have funds to spare, you can invest in Metaverse projects but do not expect a fast adoption. The adoption will certainly come but a lot of mountains need to be leveled.

While it is true that creating a new virtual world is not going to be easy or cheap, there are still projects and investors that are pushing the Metaverse.
Change is always difficult and has its detractors because, let's face it, we are talking about a complete switch to web3 and some serious technology upgrades.

When people understand the advantages of the Metaverse, actual adoption will begin. One problem/one solution, and so we embrace the changes.

I agree with you on this. However, I believe Education will play a vital role in the adoption. Metaverse Projects need to focus on educating potential investors because they can only invest in what they understand. Again, if the cost of using it is high, it will be a big challenge

As with everything related to disruptive technology, this is the great challenge: to educate investors and clients, as happened with cryptos and is happening with web3, to show them how it is done, what it is for, and its advantages over other technologies.

As in any marketing, demonstrate why it is different and good, what problem it solves... and so on... I agree with you that it is also complicated.
