#MyHiveGoals - What Can We Control?
I had some really good back and forth's with a number of commenters on my blog past week. There was one that really stuck out though!.
In a nutshell, the idea was this....
We can't control much in the world. The politics, the wars, the markets...We are at the mercy of it all. Sure we may think we have a say but let's be honest...If you buy 10 bitcoins right now, you aren't moving the markets either way.
But the comment reminded me of something that we do control.
Our effort and attitude.
That's all we really can control. And if you break it down, that's really what matters!
Things change. Literally, daily! Especially in crypto...And how we adapt to those changes, usually determines our future. And guess what that comes down to...Effort and attitude!
Here's my effort and attitude for the past 7 days :)
This is what I can control. And this is what I absolutely love about my journey here on the blockchain...

Another fantastic week on Hive!
I love seeing these graphs just go up and up...
150,000 - 87,938.116 = 62,061.89 left to go
You know, I don't think I'll hit 150k this year. But that won't stop me. Because here's the kicker...In 8 months from now, I'll be light years ahead of where I am today if I keep a good attitude and....Constant effort!

Dollar Cost Average Into Hive Engine Projects
INDEX
Another relatively slow week on INDEX accumulation. Just been so focused on HBD these days, but I did add a few :)
Added 75 INDEX to the stacks for a total of 16,725!

Oh baby another 60 HBD plus this week!
Added 61,147 for a total of 824.060 HBD...And those dividends just keep growing and growing!

How did we do this week? I checked my stats and I'm doing about 8.44% on my curation APR, this is a number I've been paying attention to lately. How can I increase it? That's something I want to dive into more these upcoming weeks...

If you're able to maintain approximately the same pace of growth (about 200 HP per week), you can certainly reach over 96,000 HP! The growth also compounds to some degree, so it's likely to be even higher. 100K is definitely within reach. And let's be honest... that's incredibly good. It'll take me a couple of decades to reach because I'm not quite as consistent lol. 😉

And I'm planning on adding more fiat to it as well, which always helps speed things up!

Ah, that's a big one! It would've been interesting to see purely organic growth. Well, I guess I have my own account for that, don't I? 😉
I'm also documenting certain aspects of my account growth on the Ecency Delegation Experiment posts that I've been writing every week, so I'll likely create a graph at some point, showing my growth beyond the time frame that's available on Hivestats.
I think it shows commitment to the chain, we know how important locking up Hive is. So I'll make sure I get some fiat into Hive and power it up. Anything I can do to increase I will :)
This is very true! I'd be telling you the truth when I say that I've strongly considered doing the same, and have looked into ways of doing so. The onramping process is very tricky, however, as I want it to be completely decentralized and anonymous. It remains one of the biggest issues for cryptocurrencies as a whole.
I have no issue with using my real name out here. But I respect and understand people that wish to remain anonymous. That's the beauty of this chain!
Are those misc rewards from INDEX etc?
Keep on stacking it's only going to keep compounding faster and faster now.

I agree that it's dumb to focus things that you can't change. It is kind of similar to Hive because you can't control the votes you get but you can control how often you post/comment.

100 % agree with, we can't control others, but yes we can control ourselves, our efforts, our consistency.

Efforts and that too consistent. That is the way things can be improved. Some of the time having the right set of the efforts always help out. If you ask me. Some of the time having the right mindset for stacking in terms of the hive, hbd helps a lot.

In otherwords, all we can control is ourselves. Kind of a standard Buddhist line.
Looking good man! I want to start growing my HBD again. I traded 1000 HBD for Hive at the start of this year. I think it was a good trade. But... I do miss that 20% interest! But I figure I will keep turning everything to Hive until Hive hits a buck, then I'll start collecting HBD again.

I was just talking to somebody about the effects of engagement, which is something I can control. Having recently successfully completed my #500CommentChallenge (an average of 50 comments a day over a 10-day period), I realized that while that was a nice introduction of me to some new people, I needed to sustain some level of engagement over time.
50 a day might be a bit much with me caring for an elderly person, but I certainly can shoot for a base of 10 thoughtful comments per day over time.
This is a great way to spark engagement with the community (thus helping Hive grow), and getting my name out there among people who may have otherwise never heard of me. And it's something I can control.
So with one challenge completed, I encourage everyone to join me in a new #10CommentsADayChallenge at a minimun (imagine what the platform would look like if everyone did at least that). Let's do this for the Hive community! Thanks for the insightful post! :)
