LOH 131 || The BEST me

Loving and appreciating yourself is one of the best gift you could receive.

There were times in our life that we felt down, that we felt discouraged and we felt sad but hey! We still managed to smile and keep life going. That made us the BEST version of ourselves.

There were lot of times that we felt we are at our best but for today's blog I would like to share three experiences with three pictures to tell that somehow I felt that I am the best.

GRADUATION DAY

Going to college is so difficult for me after graduating from secondary level. My parents even told me to look for a job in the market than thinking to go to college because they can't really afford. It made me cry a lot that time because I really wanted to pursue my studies. I'm glad to hear that our municipality launched a scholarship program called PATABA PO! (PAeskwela TAbang sa BAtang PObre) a Cebuano words means a scholarship for the poor children.

With the help of my mother, we prepare the requirements and I took the examination. I'm so happy knowing that I am one of the ten scholars who passed for the two-year scholarship.

I took up two-year course but decided to pursue it even the scholarship ended. My teacher helped me in my third year and my family and I worked for my last year. I tried to work while studying to support my studies. I experienced to live in my aunt to save for boarding house and I will work for them like a working student.

When I graduated, I am the BEST and felt so happy and proud of myself that I survived all the trials and challenges during my college life.

BECAME A MOTHER

I tried to look for pictures having me and my son as a baby but I had the hard time, so I grab this picture instead. Sorry for the quality of the picture.

After giving birth through C-section I decided to resign from work to take care of my baby. It wasn't easy, the adjustment is hard, aside from adjusting being a single to a mother, I also adjust being an employee to being a mom and housewife.

I considered myself the BEST after that decision because not all mother could choose being a full time mom over work or career. I experienced best moments with my son that for sure I never experienced if I continued being an employee.

A HIKE TO KAFOK PEAK

After getting married and giving birth, activity like camping and hiking never happened like when I was still single. But one time, our young people will have a community service to the people at KAFOK. They invited us if we want to go with them. Glad my husband decided that we will go with them and it was my first time again to hike after the operation.

I thought I can't make it. There's a lot of stop trying to find my breath because we walk around 4 to 5 hours before reaching the peak. We reached the peak at about 10 in the evening so we cannot appreciate the view at the top yet. But when the sun rises, we saw the amazing and wonderful creation of God from the top of the mountain. We witness a wonderful sunrise, we felt refreshed and relaxed seeing those hills, mountains, sea of clouds plus inhaling the fresh unpolluted air.

The picture above is a family picture that shows that we did it as a family to the KAFOK PEAK. It is located in Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato.

I'm the BEST being there because I did it despite the sweat and ache I felt on my feet due to a very long uphill hike. I even hold my stomach as I run slowly going down when we are in our way back.

If you think no one appreciates you and no one says you are the BEST, then say to yourself I AM THE BEST!. Sometimes we have to love and appreciate ourselves if no one does it for us - that is part of self love. Always remember that you are the BEST. We are the BEST in our own little way. Don't compare, be contented, be happy.
