Hello, @tengolotodo
Scottish scones with fried duck eggs. A simple and easy recipe for a child. Even for a terrible cook like me. Ha ha ha.
The fascinating thing is how this recipe is tied to the memory of your grandfather, an important man in your local community when you were a child.
It is said that children generally cope better with the trauma of losing loved ones. Well, I'm not so convinced. I think that at that age, you're simply not obsessed with the past or the future, trying to cope with the present, learning from everything.
However, there are always important events that are recorded near the surface of our conscious mind that are triggered by tasting the simplest recipe. Your grandfather is still relevant to you.
Thanks for sharing your memories with us.
Greetings.

The one thing I have learnt about life is that we don't all fall into categories or labels, we are all different. So grief is different for everyone.
But yes @janaveda there are little things that can trigger memories of someone, and that I think is generally a good thing!
Enjoy your week :)
