Restructuring the Educational sector

It is no news that after a child’s home or family, the school is the next agent of socialization for the child. The school adds to what the child has been taught at home and since the school is a learning ground the child learns faster than he or she learns at home.

How can education systems incorporate teachings on kindness and compassion to nurture future generations with these values?

As children become older and wiser whatever they hear matters a lot as it has the ability to influence their lives greatly.

While children are taught different subjects in schools, I think teaching children how to be kind and be good human beings matters a lot.
Children come from different homes; some children are from broken homes, some grew up with no love, some under authoritative parents, some from rich families, some from poor families, etcetera etcetera.

These children from these various backgrounds come to school and mix up with other children and they begin to make friends and we all know that no friendship leaves us neutral as consciously or unconsciously we begin to pick some little traits from our friends.

When these kids mix up we begin to see some certain traits surface.

Beyond their academic work and coming out best in class, students need to be taught that there is a world outside of their books and schools and in that world you have to be a good human being, you have to stay strong and survive.

These students need to be taught kindness and how to be better humans as this might help reduce the number of miscreants out there.

Students need to be taught humility, they need to be humble. Humility as we all know is seeing yourself as equal to the next person regardless of your sex, age, social status, or race. The more humble you are the more you will be able to help people as you wouldn't feel too big to help certain people and you'd see being kind to people as just a normal way of life. Students also need to understand that being born into a rich family does not give you the right to talk to your friends rudely.

Empathy! Empathy! Empathy! students need to understand the importance of empathizing with other people. They need to see themselves walking in someone else's shoes, knowing how they feel and how much the shoe hurts. When these students are constantly able to do this then being kind to others will be a walk in the park as you get to understand people before they even say a word.

Being empathetic would help you to be kind to people irrespective of their status. Like they say children are the leaders of tomorrow. Imagine training these kids to empathize with others when they grow older, we would have less wicked and selfish people in the world.

I know the algebras are important, the quadratic equations, photosynthesis, diffusion, and the rest are important but do you know what beats them all? LOVE. You can know all of these and even more and end up as a bitter person who spreads hatred everywhere but you can learn to love people and be the sweetest soul the world has ever recorded😃you know what happens when you have so much love in you? Being kind is also part of your personality, easy peasy!

As much as the educational sector tries to teach all the subjects and topics that can earn every student a degree they should also not fail to teach them life lessons too as those lessons are way more important than we can every think and they are the foundation for a better generation.

Kindness can be taught for sure, and it all begins at an early age and being modeled. Teaching tolerance, respect, manners and such all shape future adults. Children in their hearts do not know hatred, that is taught. Unfortunately kindness is not a subject at school, I wish it was, it should be for sure, but people will take offense to something as loving as kindness being taught I fear.

Thankfully there are after school organizations of many varieties, a lot of which teach good behaviors and model examples of what kindness means. Loved the kindness diary!

This was very apt Greg, and I wish all of what you pointed out and more could materialize and if that happens I know for a fact that the world will be a better place.

Kindness is a natural instinct. We can learn to do good and be kind to people

It is way easier to be kind than the opposite. A lot of energy is needed to be anything but kind. A simple smile is an act of kindness. I agree that children should be taught kindness and good morals. This will make the world to go round in love and forgiveness.

I love your journal. May the pregnant woman deliver successfully.
