WHY I DO WHAT I DO

If there was one thing I failed to realize on time which luckily for me I still have a little time to adjust to is the part that I always like to accept almost everything and that is because I don’t even have idea of them so I just don’t want to talk about them even though they don’t seat well with me. As humans we are inquisitive for a reason more than any other creatures on earth, so the moment we try to let everything slide, we start missing the point from that moment.

To the generation to come, if you ever get to read this, my message to you is that you should never just accept anything just because that was what you were born into or something, always be inquisitive and ask questions. As I will always say, it is what the next person knows more than you that makes him or her better than you. Knowledge as you would grow to understand is power, although some say power is power but then knowledge is indeed power.

In our world today, we have come to understand that so many things are going south because people are no longer interested in knowing or interested in doing the right thing and somehow that is what is going to continue in your generation but luckily for you, you are reading this and I hope it helps open your mind better. No matter the person sharing any information with you, as long as you have your doubts always ask questions, engage that person in a conversation and make sure what he or she is saying is the correct thing.

Don’t feel too lazy or shy to get the right thing because if you do, you endanger your own generation too and this circle will only get bigger. As humans, we all have our own opinions and ideas about almost everything and sometimes we may be right and other times we are wrong, so just accepting something based on what someone thinks about that thing is not the right way to go. Sometimes it’s fine to walk by Faith but there are some things that you don’t have to just accept them, always and I repeat, always ask questions.

Most times we fall victims of disobeying or not doing what we ought to do because we never knew the reason why we have to do those things. For example, growing up in a home where everyone don’t eat a particular meal, we don’t even bother asking why we don’t eat that meal, we just join everyone not to eat that meal (it’s going to be harder if your parents are strict though but still, ask). Because over time, when we get to meet people, we will be confronted with those that eat that particular meal and all we will have to say to them is that, we don’t eat it in our home.

Or you grow up hearing a particular thing about the next village, that your village doesn’t do anything with them and you just accepted it that way without trying to know why that is. In as much as we should be careful of how we ask some questions, it’s always better to ask than just act upon whatever we are given and I didn’t realize that early and it cost me to an extent. As long as what you are exposed to is not the truth or you are not sure if it is the truth or doesn’t feels right, don’t hesitate to ask questions about it.

When you understand the reason behind some rules and regulations, it helps you know why you shouldn’t break them. You have to ask those stupid questions as some might call them, for you to get some things right and also help those after you get it right. Never accept anything that you have your doubts about, make sure to ask questions to those that ask you to do those things and be sure of why you need to do what you are asked to do and that will help you get so many things right.

Asking questions can be hard most times but it is definitely going to save us from a lot of mistakes and also help us become better. Don’t try to accept something you are not sure if it’s the truth or not, ask further questions and get it right. You have your opinions about something good and fine but trust me, there is the right answer to every question, so just keep seeking to find it and until you’ve found it, don’t give up.
