Trying out Inleo Premium for the first time !

I've just made the jump to Premium (literally a few minutes before making this post). I'd been contemplating it for a while now, and happened to have enough liquid HDB so thought it was time to give it a try.

A key incentive for me was the additional curation upvotes from @leo.voter and the extra APR for delegating HP to @leo.voter - so it will be interesting to see how that works out. If it atleast pays for itself, then that will be good.

I've been a HP delegator to @leo.voter for around 2 years now (ever since just before LPUD started), so it seems to make sense from that perspective.

A few of the other features are also pretty handy:

• Thread editing after they've been posted (because I know I'm going to screw some up !)
• Longer threads (because I can !!!).

I'm also interesting in the advanced user dashboard, but I dont think thats out yet.

I guess it takes a wee while for the features to kick in, because my HP delegation is still on the old APR, and I dont have a check-mark yet, but thats fine, I'm sure it will come soon.

A key aspect for me is to make sure that I take advantage of premium. I've not quite been as active since the start of 2024 compared to 2023. Hopefully this will give me some incentive as it would be a waste to pay the 10 HBD and then not use it. So I'll be aiming to increase my threading and posting - not to stupid levels, just more than I have been.

So heres looking forward to trialing Premium for the next month. If it works out, I fully intend to keep on using it.

One aspect I'm keen to use it for is jokes. I write my own jokes (mostly in the 'dad jokes' style), so I will be inflicting some of those on you over the coming month via threads. So you better brace your self and get your groans at the ready ! And here's a sample for you:

I tried smoking my own mackerel – it was bloody difficult keeping them lit.

Caveat - I didnt say that they were any good.
