Saturday Savers Club Progress week 13 - Broke the 12k HP mark

Its week 13 (30/03/24) of my savings focus for 2024 with the Saturday Savers Club which is a great Hive community initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account.

My goals for this year are:

• Primary goal - to increase my HP by 7500, to 18500 HP,
• Secondary goal - to increase my HP delegation to @eds-vote by 1000 HP, to 3000 HP (because I want to accumulate more of the EDS token).

I will also be continuing to increase my holding of investment tokens, and delegating HP to a number of good community curation accounts as well.

This weeks pic - We took a walk down to Leith (an area in Edinburgh) yesterday and saw the statue of Queen Victoria commemorating when she visited Leith on the 3rd of Sept 1842. While there a ton of pigeons appeared you can see them around the base of the statue and up on the window sills of the building on the right.

Weekly Investment Focus

• I crossed the 12k HP barrier - I'd been closing in on it for a while now - was glad to pass it at last,
• My main activity was around HBD:HIVE trading again. I had 31 trades go through (more than I was expecting) and the gains were pretty nice at ~111 HIVE,
• I have a 1517 HP delegation to @leo.voter which I use mainly to produce LEO from the daily drips which I then save up for LPUD. However, I've recently made the switch for the daily drips to be automatically staked which gives a 4% boost on the APR (the Inleo dashboard now says I'm now getting 15% instead of 12%). It made sense to take the higher income even if it means it will reduce my ability to join LPUD each month,
• I've also just withdrawn my stake from the VOUCHER:SWAP.HIVE pool seeing as that no longer earns additional SPS. I actually just sold some of the VOUCHER I had in there, and am still contemplating what to do with the rest, and also the SWAP.HIVE that I also had locked up in there.

Weekly commentary

• HP Gain: I gained +45 HP this week, which is about right for my activity last week. I normally convert any HBD post payments into HIVE and power that up too, but instead I've continued to add the HBD to my trading fund for HBD:HIVE trading as that has been going so well these last few weeks,
• HP Passive: 15.08 of my HP gain this week came from curation (+8.62 HP, not really passive) and HP APR (+6.46 HP - based on the current HP APR of 2.80%). This made up a third of my HP gain this week. Its great to see this making such a nice contribution each week,
• HP goal: My HP total now stands at 12002 HP and I need a further 6498 HP to hit my primary goal of 18500 HP. At 39 weeks to go, that requires 164 per week (an increase of 3 HP). My activity just hasnt been as high of late due to work and some other aspects going on (possibly moving house, etc) and as such my end of year target is very much at risk at this point in time,
• HP delegation to @eds-vote: My HP delegation to @eds-vote increased by +5 HP to 2127 HP. I need to delegate another 873 to hit my secondary target to raise my total delegation to 3000 HP. That will require an average of 22 HP delegated per week to hit it, which I should achieve,
• HP delegation to curation accounts: I delegated another +4HP to @curangel to bring that total to 209. The aim to to take that to 250 HP - only 41 to go now - its getting there bit-by-bit !,
• HP delegation to curation accounts: The main aim of these community delegations is to support these great curation accounts that have helped me along the way to where I am now, but I'm also getting nice daily drips of HIVE as a result from @ocdb, @qurator and @curangel as they pass on their curation income to delegators, which is a nice little bonus !
  I tend to reinvest those HIVE drips from the curation accounts back into my HBD:HIVE trading fund, giving a nice little synergy to growing another income stream,
• EDS: I gained +2.06 EDS. My 2127 HP delegation to @eds-vote brought in 1.84 EDS this week. The rest of the gain seen came from the mining lottery for holding EDSMMs (I have 146 of those) and the weekly drip from holding 7 EDSD (which was 0.04 EDS this week). I selected increasing my delegation to @eds-vote as my secondary goal as I'm really keen to keep accumulating EDS, and focusing on the HP delegation works well with my primary goal of increasing my HP total,
• HBD:HIVE Trading: I had another very good week with 31 trades going through for a gain on around 111 HIVE. I was very happy with this, and am hoping for more weeks like this.

Plan for the coming week

• Regular Posting: Regular posting (daily) is the key to HP growth, but I've been struggling with time to do that of late. I'll do what I can with the time I have,
• **Posting via Inleo: ** I'm continuing to post mostly using Inleo due to the extra LEO this will generate. Its making a difference, not huge, but it is positive so thats good. I'm still considering Premium and might take it up next week as I have a nice post payout coming. I'll just need to make sure I'm actively posting in order to reap the benefit of it,
• Curation: To be active in HIVE Blog curation to help with HIVE curation rewards. My curation is mostly manual and I mostly try to keep my voting mana between 80 to 90%,
• Undelegated HP: To continue to increase undelegated HP in order to improve HIVE curation rewards,
• HBD:HIVE trading: To continue with HBD:HIVE trading. I'm going to keep adding more funds to my trading capital from post payouts over the coming weeks. HBD:HIVE trading has been working well for me, so I may as well take advantage of that and try to increase the profits on my trades - increasing my trading capital will help to make that happen,
• HP delegation to @eds-vote: This weeks delegation of 10% of my weekly HP income to @eds-vote will add a further 5 HP (it all counts !),
• HP delegation to curation accounts: This weeks delegation of 10% of my weekly HP income to community curation accounts will add a further 5 HP to my @curangel delegation.

Summary

I had a very good week from a trading perspective and I was also very happy to hit the 12K HP mark.

My Tribe Token Investment Project

My experiment with 8 different tribe tokens on my alt account @hoosieboy is moving along nicely. The experiment is designed to grow semi-passively via staking, curation, posting and rebalancing - in a way where the methods should work together and add constructively. Everything gets re-invested back into curation accounts for the same 8 tribe tokens, so it also provides a positive boost to those tribes.

I'm due another rebalance and I'm also getting close to the point of also being able to delegate HP on that account for additional curation income related to the 8 tribe tokens. So it will be interesting to see how that also helps things. You can check out my latest rebalance post on my @hoosieboy alt account here.
