CineTV Contest: Meryl Streep

Hello guys, to be frank, If this competition was maybe one or two years ago I would choose another name: Johnny Depp, I probably watched all of his movies and many of his characters tagged me deeply, however, I saw that he was a pirate in real life, so I started to question if he was really acting all this time or just being himself.

And I guess today Meryl Streep deserves my kind words in this post. She is older than my parents, but for me, she is still an attractive woman. But that's not the main reason to love her. She is a versatile actress. Dramas, bad guys, good guys, musicals ( she sings a lot), and comedies.
The last movie that I watched that she was in there was a nice movie but very dumb but funny called "Don't look up", with good actors in there such as Leo di Caprio, Jennifer Lawrence and Cate Blanchet t(these 3 actors also deserve a mention as well, but not for this movie of course). In there she is a very exaggerated and terrible politician that is the US president. You get a little bit of anger about his character in the movie because she plays against humanity and in favor of her greed. When an actor causes that in you is awesome!

I movie that remarked me was Julie and Julia from 2009. I watched that movie alone in the movies, Meryl in this case is a character based on a real person, Julia Child. Julia is a famous Chef and she brought famous recipes from the french cuisine to the US after writing cookbooks. But her life wasn't always easy! In the movie, it shows how Julia faced sexism when entering into the cooking professional schools in France (which were made only for men). Meryl plays in this case very well into a woman that suffered to go up in his career fighting against all the problems of society at that time.

Another remarkable drama movie is The hours with Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore, also based in a book writer, but in this case, Nicole Kidman is the one playing the writer , Virginia Woolf. Three women in different decades facing problems in their lives, and in society. Meryl plays as a nowadays Lesbian, also facing interesting dramas. Very sad movie. So that woman already made me have anger from her, and now made me cry!! And more!!!

Like I said before she also sings, and has an amazing voice!! Why not mention her in Mamma mia ? This musical movie from 2008 based on a broadway musical makes you laugh and be amazed by Meryl's voice, said that they killed her in the second movie, but anyways the first is awesome. She plays the mom of a bride that doesn't know who her father is. Since Meryl's character slept with 3 guys.

Meryl had tons of movies I couldn't watch all of them! And writing this post made me want to watch more of them, maybe I will write about it in my next review, I am curious to watch a movie Sophie's Choice , which gave her the Oscar movie award of best actress in 1982.
