Saturday's bonfire with...
Live music and friends...
We started a little music session on Friday which expanded to another session on Saturday with a bonfire. Singing melancholic songs all night long until dawn where birds competed with us. They won.
I love spring here in Germany and the spontaneous meetings with friends in the neighbourhood. In general, I love the warm vibe and people gather to enjoy life with music, playing games, take adventures and tell stories.
What a sunny Sunday we had. Finally! After many weeks of coldish to cold conditions. We, a bunch of ragtag peeps, and a lot of other fellow beings, took advantage of that weather and visited a wonderful event, the Festival of Cultures and its parade.
It was the first after a, involuntary, break since 2020.
I went many times to that festival and this time felt different. But maybe my memory is just blurry and nothing has changed. There were many associations and groups which expressed their opinions. I was wondering what's cultural about it but maybe, again, it's me and I misunderstood the name of the festival.
Many carnival floats were very simple and I didn't get what they tried to express, what's their cultural background.
However, all the beautiful people had fun, were enjoying the music and were one united nation. That's what is important, to me.
Some floats took me to a wonderful experience to their cultural music. Especially Brazil. Samba full on. Drums and bodies were bouncing in ecstasy.
Also Korea and some other floats I could take a glimpse at did great.
Afterwards we immersed ourselves into Magic The Gathering at a friend's place until midnight. And now I'm going to settle back, rest and will enjoy some well deserved shut eye time, after a long weekend.
If you wonder why it's the Weekend Experience No. 42, I was just buggering around, to see how you will react. And I really like Douglas Adam's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

On top of that, there is Lucky Number Seven. I'm happy that I managed to post seven post in a row from Monday to Sunday. On Thursday I was realising that I did my fourth post in a row and remembered about the Weekly Author badge. I checked, it was green and so, still in play.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be proud member of that badge.
Good night, sleep tight π

Looks like you've had a sweet weekend (and it's not even over yet). Spontaneous music jams till the morning, and meeting up with like minded Magic heads sounds like the way to go. And that Carnival of Cultures seems quite interesting, even though I decided against going in the end. Instead I stayed at home, hung out with my house mates, cooked and ate Indian food, and head some friends over. Congrats to your badge, btw! Weirdly, even when I would post regularly (OMG, haven't published a post in over a week!), seven days in a row was still a challenge I would pass up.
Thanks a lot ππ½βΊοΈ
It was challenging for me. Now I'll have a break, not entirely voluntarily, because jobs in the ropes take over. And posting all the time about rope access isn't a good idea, right?
It was a great weekend.
I was missing you. But your last Sunday sounds just as good.
Hey, the best part of posting is that you can do it about whatever you like, and as much or as little of it as you want. I remember this guy once who posted exclusively about fasting. First it was interesting, then it got dull very fast. But then something interesting happened: I kept looking at his posts just to see when HE would get bored of it. And yes, it actually took a while.

I hope that all neighbors enjoyed that outdoor "home music festival"... π That sound speaker doesn't look too "dangerous", but in the right hands/voice, it can be a leathal weapon... π
There is no better way to spend a weekend than with friends and family!
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!
I completely agree.
In my case, I adapted for outdoors, garden and neighbour friendly. Win win I'd say. At least nobody complained π
