Farm Exploration, Checking Our Farm Raising Animals, And Visiting Our Under Construction Fish Pond

Today, I am very excited to to visit our under construction fish pond near in our house. I can't wait to see it available next year. Because we decided to add another fish pond to multiply the fish that we can harvest at the right time. The first fish pond that has been completed is now stocked with 1500 Commercial telapia and so far it continues to grow healthy. It is good to put a fish pond and our place here because of the flat area and not much grass. The soil is also soft and easy to dig with just a Shovel. Just hauling stones and sand will be a bit difficult because it is necessary to go to the river to get sand and stones.

But with the help of the cart and the Kalabaw, it will be easier to haul the large stones and sand that will be used and place them on the side of the pit. The hard and solid construction helps to prevent its soil from being destroyed, especially during the rainy season. If concrete and solid things are not placed on its side, it will collapse which will destroy the Fish pond. It is now the second day that the hauling of sand and stones has started. A lot has been hauled in and it is ready to be put in the fish pond the next day. Due to the relatively large area that the workers dug, it was necessary to haul a lot of sand and stones.

Our workers have been digging it for several days, but due to the bad weather, they could not continue working immediately. It is quite large and can hold a lot of tilapia fish. We have decided to stock this fish pond with 2500 tilapia fish when it is finished. Because there are many coconut trees here in our area, it is necessary to dig and make a way so that the Coconuts are not affected by the digging. So this is the shape of our fish pond that is currently being worked on.

This is how many large stones and sand they have attracted. The sands are no longer filtered due to only small and unmixed large stones. This is what is placed on the cement before being placed on the edge of the fish pond. Large stones like these are placed in the cement to make the foundation more durable.

We have also bought some sacks of cement for 250 Pesos per sack. We can't estimate if this is enough for this fish pond or if we need to buy a few more bags of cement. We put it in a place where water doesn't get wet so it doesn't harden like a stone.

I was a little sad about one of our pet cows because it was thin. There is no grass to eat because of the recent heat, we have bought vitamins for the animals and give them water with salt to drink. We take really good care of him especially since he has a child. We put it in a place where there are still some weeds left.

There are also fruits that can be found here in our area, and one here is what we call Abana. It is good to eat because it is good for the body. It can also be made into an abana shake that is perfect for a snack. Abana leaves can also be used to treat diseases such as stomach aches and coughs.

This is the Cashew tree. It bears fruit every August and the taste of the fruit from it is like peanuts. We thought of cleaning this area so that this tree does not die. It is good that we are always productive on a daily basis so that we can get success.
