I am quite sure most people are under the impression made by the crypto market holding this three-week-long rally, with a few days of consolidation in-between price jumps.

Week on Hive

Value Plan

I want to start with something I don't believe many have noticed. Last year's report of the marketing efforts funded by the DHF via the @valueplan account.

Also from Value Plan, they came with a separate post last week where they wanted to spotlight a community that has done a tremendous job creating awareness for Hive last year: Street Workout Community (SWC).

Check out that post! It's amazing in how many ways Hive helps and gets popularized!

Splinterlands

As I've talked about in my post from yesterday, some major changes are coming to Splinterlands at the end of the month. The first series of soulbound reward cards will come out then, together with a host of other changes, including 3 new abilities. You'll find out all about them in their official post.

If you play the game, don't take these changes lightly. You need to know about them.

Cub Finance

I think it was from this week's AMA (maybe last week's, I was a bit behind on things) when @khaleelkazi mentioned some plans for Cub Finance. Here's the relevant clip from that AMA on this topic.

Khal mentions he wants to keep developing the derivatives for HIVE and HBD on Cub Finance, namely bHIVE and bHBD.

He talks about stackable kingdoms for bHIVE and bHBD, similar to CUB, with custom locking periods or not locked.

He also says that all sorts of derivative options are on the roadmap for the future, including shorting bHIVE.

Rising Star

Rising Star has put out a post about its future, outlining the importance of STARPRO in that future and the Raves feature they continue to test.

3Speak

I became aware from one of @taskmaster4450's videos that 3Speak is looking into extending the reward window over 7 days at the second layer, as they mention in the last CTT.

Another project that is looking into expanding the selection of posts (not necessarily the rewards, other than tipping), all the way to the genesis block is Veews. It will be strange to see all the posts where we wrote odes to the former chain (and not only), besides the very good or bad content that will open up this way from people who are still around or not. But it's part of our immutable history.

Week in the Cryptocurrency World

That looks like a bull market chart, condensed within 3 weeks, doesn't it? The question is, does it rise too soon, too fast? It certainly does for me because I wasn't done accumulating. But if you ask someone with a crypto business who needed liquidity, the sooner and the faster is what they need.

The week had its share of bad news, maybe that's why I believe "too soon, too fast" may have some validity to it:

• Google lays off 6% of its employees (12000 people)
• In the crypto world,
  • Metamask's parent company, Consensys, cuts off 11% of the jobs (96 people)
  • Crypto trading firm Amber Group cuts workforce almost in half (300 people laid off, 400 remaining) and its 25m USD sponsorship to Chelsea FC

Let's see what next week will bring us.
