Splinterlands: Dark Assassins Guild is Recruiting!

avatar

Splinterlands is mostly a solo game.

Which is fine. I like solo games.

There is that part of the Splinterlands gameplay that is cooperative. And that is guilds.

For players who prefer their solo quest through Splinterlands, I understand. Maybe you like to do things your way, you don't like to be told what to do, you don't like all sorts of contradictory discussions, etc. Who wants all that, right?

But guilds do add bonuses that are important to the solo journey. A guild bonus for ranked battles and Shop discounts are benefits we already have now before the SPS rewards get added to Brawls. After that, it's already a new game. And solo players not involved in guilds will have more and more to lose.

Then, there's the matter of finding a better guild. What the definition of a better guild is, depends from person to person, I guess.

Some look for the most competitive, others for loyalty (both ways). Some look for more rules, others for more freedom. Some look for a guild with a lot of engagement and discussions, others not necessarily. Some look for a place to call 'home', others for a stepping-stone towards a better guild.

I am the co-leader of the Dark Assassins guild and we are RECRUITING! (we are not that dark and we are only assassins on the Splinterlands battlefield)

We are one of the first guilds created, known before as Saw Supremacy.

While we are not one of the super-rich guilds that can develop fully right away, we have the track record as our ally and the slow and steady approach which has brought us where we are today. Which is pretty damn far!

We have just upgraded our Guild Hall to level 8 (it requires 500000 DEC to upgrade from level 7 to level 8, for those who don't know), which means we can have a maximum of 25 members and a max cap for buildings at level 8.

A Lodge at level 8 gives +12% bonus reward points in ranked battles and a 6% discount in the Splinterlands shop.

These bonuses alone become profitable from a level forward, after paying the monthly 1000 DEC contribution to the guild.

But SPS rewards will soon be added to Brawls (within the next month, month and a half?!). Then, I expect guilds will be bombarded with join requests. Finding a good guild will be far from a guarantee!

We have some free places now, but that won't stay unfilled forever. Of that, I can assure you!

We have always strived to build a core group of players that will fight and grow together, within our guild.

If you want to be part of our team, you can either request to join directly in-game, or let me know your IGN in the comments below, and I'll check you out. If things look fine, I'll send you an invite as soon as I can.

Do you check through a players card collection to see what gladiators they have?

No. Not everyone was involved with Guilds before.

I am happy with my current guild but I do like the freedom that comes along with it. I invest a little bit of DEC into the guild every now and then but the rest of the time, I just participate in Brawl. So in a way, I haven't really been relying on it for the bonus rewards but more for the merits.

Of course, merits are important, and they are guild-specific. However, I feel their importance in winning them through the guild was diminished to some degree by including them in the loot chests.

Anyway, we will likely see some bigger changes to Brawls too, besides the SPS rewards, which might shake things a bit.

I understand if you like your guild. That's fine. We like players that stick around and, besides the monthly DEC contribution so we can grow the buildings, we have very few rules (no taking a fray and not submitting teams, for example, or you pay a little fine to the guild).

My IGN is the same as my Hive's user name.

I am interested to join, but I worry about my availability. I remember one time when I joined a Tournament. I lost by default. Typically, my schedule is from Monday to Friday, I am working in an office from 8 AM to 5 PM.

We don't always have enough time. What we ask is that if expect you won't have time to play the Brawls in a given period, skip it rather than filling a fray. As for how active you are in ranked battles, it's your own business mostly. It helps with the guild ranking if members are ranked higher, but we are not forcing anyone to be as high as possible in the rankings. It's in their own interest to do so. Or to earn better rewards in a different way, like renting out, but then the guild bonuses don't really help out. You have an invite! :)

I received the invitation and clicked the join tab. Am I automatically accepted? When shall I pay the monthly DEC contribution?

Curious about your IGN? Are you GA-SM The Explorer?

Yes, you are in.

Yes, I am ga-sm (uninspired, I guess, comes from gadrian-steemmonsters, lol).

The DEC contribution you can pay during the course of the month, whenever you want. Sometimes people get behind and are being reminded first, so it's not super-strict. You don't get automatically kicked out if your contribution isn't on time.

Thanks! I wonder how Guild works. Excited to learn new things. 😆

How shall I send the contribution? To whose account?

Just check out the Guild menu in Splinterlands. Check out the Buildings and the Brawls sections. Contributions are sent in-game on the building that is upgraded. There are multiple options, but we generally focus on one at a time, to upgrade it quicker. Use the links from SplinterGlossary above for a starting point. And you can ask questions in the guild, there is chat there.

@niallon11 will also add you to the team discord when he can.

Thanks!

I just received this notification: "4 Frays are open for the next Brawl. Fill one to help your Guild." I wonder what's the meaning of that.

If you are a Guild Member on #Splinterlands, your Guild automatically invites its members to join the Brawls about twice a week. 🤓 !PGM !CTP

I received an invitation once. Our "guild has won spoils of 28 Crowns in the latest brawl." I informed them that I could not participate for now, not only because of my schedule but also because my deck is still too weak. My winning rate in Gold 3 dropped to just 50/50. I expect that the battle in the brawl is more intense and competitive. I don't want to be a burden. I will work on upgrading my cards to be strong enough even for Silver I.

You might want to join a Brawl Fray that is for Novice or Bronze Leagues, so that you don't need to possess powerful Cards to win your assigned Brawl Battles. 🤓 !PGM !CTP

#Splinterlands Brawls are very similar to Anytime Tournaments. 🤓 You just place your teams against each opponent, and then wait for the result. 😏

The main differences of Brawls over Tournaments are the support for your Guild and the ability to use Brawl-exclusive Monsters. 🤓 !LUV !CTP

Thats great news about the SPS rewards for Brawls. Do they use up ECR too?

I have no idea! Brawls as a whole will see some changes, but we seem to be waiting for cryptomancer to come back from his vacation to move this project forward.
