Although I did see an article that said it isn't open to China.
Hmm... Maybe it's a way to keep the floodgates under tighter control. I don't know how much autonomy Hong Kong really has from China.

Yeah. I did think it might be because China hasn't approved of ETFs from their end as well.
Yeah, but also maybe they don't want to lose the war on crypto, and open a door to people with money from China to invest in ETFs from Hong Kong. Maybe, just a supposition. ETFs can be controlled much better than crypto.
That is definitely true. Since it is mostly big corporations offering ETFs, they are definitely beholden to the government, and in effect, can be more controlled.
