Are You Stalking the LeoAds Account? :)

I had a full day today, with guests till well in the afternoon. Then, I took the time to check and add up my crypto investments. I felt no push to do it after the guests left, but it's something I do every month and didn't want to skip it.

And here we are at the posting part. You can imagine I am "operating" on reserve energy supplies, however long they last, lol. So, this might be a shorter post, but still, maybe a good read, especially if you aren't aware of the news regarding the first LeoAds distribution.

I know there have been speculations before, but this time we probably have a date set for the first distribution of LeoAds rewards, and that is today, January 1st. As Khal mentioned, they will go mainly to stakeholders, not evergreen content creators.

To be honest, I haven't heard Khal personally mention the date, but I haven't checked all the recent communications yet. Assuming the payments would be made from the LeoAds account, we'd need to see some movements here, and so far the latest actions are not so recent:

The transactions above still show an accumulation of LEO by the LeoAds account, so not yet a distribution.

Anyway, it will come when it will come. And we will see how much it will be (it is directly proportional to our LEO stake if we have been actively using it to vote via INLEO).

Something else I found out from a recent post of the Leo team:

This is the FIRST TIME ever that Hive posts are rewarded beyond the 7 day payout window. You could have posted an article from leofinance.io 2 years ago and if it's receiving 2,000 views per month, you'd be getting paid for that article every single month... forever (as long as it keeps getting views).

So... do we have the threshold for evergreen content? 2,000 views per month... Oh well, I doubt there are more than a few, if any posts that reach that target in the history of Leofinance/INLEO, and it will probably incite a different type of content creation and marketing for those who will aim to get these evergreen rewards. Or at least I imagine that's the thinking behind the number.

I believe we will be talking about this some more, but for now, it's enough since I don't know if that number was dropped in the post as an example, to see some reactions, or if it's the actual threshold. And I don't know how the team came to that number.

Also, today is HPUD. I will keep participating in them but with the minimum powerups of 10 HIVE, which is what I did today too. Happy Powerup Day!

Haven't come in yet, as far as I could see, but should come in, hopefully, later today.

Happy New Year!

2,000 views to see is not much

This is 2,000 views per post per month. Your posts that are paid evergreen rewards need to be seen 2,000 times in a month. Most posts I've seen don't pass 50 views. And view count had some issues on INLEO lately, or at least that's what I remarked.

That 2k view per month is pretty interesting. It should promote the creation of posts that are more useful to a wide range of people, and is constantly relevant. It could be guides, or a music related.

It could be guides

Maybe, if they are evergreen. But not without heavy promotion to the outside, because INLEO simply doesn't have the numbers. Maybe in some limited cases, SEO will do the trick by itself.

music related

I don't like to be the one pointing out the weak points, but if we don't like when YT or Spotify interrupts our music with ads, how would we like to click on every single song, just to add another fraction of a cent or so to the ad revenue total balance?

Yeah those are valid points. Honestly I don't think 2k will be achievable with Hive's/Inleo's current user count.

I think that's what they are trying to achieve. Make the evergreen rewards hard to get on Hive, but easy for influencers with bigger followings than Hive has users.

It's nice to see the ad revenue but I wonder when they will start giving out the rewards. I know a few people are already stalking the account so I will just wait to see when it does. Happy HPUD and I also powered up the minimum.

but I wonder when they will start giving out the rewards

I thought it would be yesterday... That's what I heard at least, but apparently, it was still wishful thinking. :)

Yep. We knew all that, except the threshold per month per post. That's the only new part.

It is great to see how the ads revenue is converted to boost the growth of the community and the token Leo in general
