Qurator Photo Quest: Cables or Wires

Cables or Wires

Along the cycling path I often take when I go to the office by bike is a train track and an electricity network. I really think these metal pylons with electricity cables are very ugly; visual pollution!
But since we all need a lot of electricity and moving all the cables in the ground is way to expensive we have to live with this.
Same goes for the wind farms in front of the coast and the huge fields with solar panels that are popping up everywhere. Not to mention the wide variety of solar panels that people put on their roof. I just have to remember it is for a good cause!

But on a cold morning in March when cycling to the office I had the following view which I found rather cool. It even made me stop, take of my handshoes (it was just a few degrees C above 0) and make this photograph.

The fog over that was hanging over the meadows made it look like the pylons that carry the electricity cables were hovering in the sky.
I hope you like this shot too!

This is my entry for the @qurator photo contest with the subject CABLES OR WIRES.

I agree that the wires spoil the environment and we always avoid them in the photos, but I was lucky this day because the panorama changed and although the wires took a back seat the view is beautiful.
