The fire that ignites change, that's who I will be to my country.

I have always been interested in politics, it's something I love to indulge myself in because I want to make a change in the country I love before leaving Earth. I have grown to love my country and anything that can make a change on a bigger scale, I would be there. This has led me to occupy positions of power like the class representative in my university days, the former master of Nigeria Red Cross Society, Kwara State Polytechnic branch, and honorable at the Student Union Government (SUG). Many people who know of these positions know that these positions are all politically inclined.

If I'm opportune to be a politician and contest for a powerful position in my country or state, I would go for the president position. Yes, I know it's not an easy task because "With great power comes great responsibility" which I am ready to carry.

About two years ago, I wrote an article on a writing platform about what I wanted to be before and now.

And I am still standing on it. Nothing has changed.

I have come to understand that in politics, it's not just a game of moving pawns, it's a game of allies and shared benefits. If I were to play the game of politics, I would play it with people I trust because there is a system on the ground before I come in, and to do that I would need all the help and like-minded people I need to do this.

The truth is that I am not a power-freaked person. I love free and fair elections, so I won't go the extra mile beyond a layman's understanding for power. If I win, I win and, if I lose, then I lose. It's simple, I would act like our former president, President Goodluck Ebele Johnathan. He surrendered his position when he lost. I would also act like the presidential candidate "Peter Obi" who stood for justice against electoral malpractice. Even if it's for the benefit of the country, I would destroy my reputation, either secretly or openly just to win.

One thing we should all know is that power is intoxicating, especially when you have never held one before and those in a position of power misuse it because they never held any position of power from scratch. They held power and became corrupt because it was their first time tasting it and they wanted more power. I have tasted power before I understand how to control it so it doesn't control you. I definitely won't be carried away, and I will make laws that give autonomy to the judicial system for them to do as they please to any president who goes against the law of the land, including me.
