MAKING PURCHASES; THE GOOD AND THE BAD

Making purchases is a daily thing that I normally do. Though the kind of purchase I make has level pending on the type. Every one has reason why he or she buys a particular thing or product. Special thanks to everyone on this platform and to all participants kudos for the powerful edition again. Follow as I share the kind of purchase I made that I enjoyed it till date and on the other hand the worst purchase I have ever made.

This is my entry for week 97 edition 1 of this beautiful prompt. The best purchase I can recall that serves me till date happened after my wedding. Many people turned out for the wedding that year and God helped us to raise some money. After some days, wife and I travelled to Jos to acquire some basic house equipment as per young couple. This was the first purchase we made together as family and I can't easily forget it. We needed a good deep freezer, stabiliser, extension box, and few other electronics. Both of us had no accurate knowledge about electronic because she studied public Administration whereas I studied chemistry which are parallel to electronics. We stepped out by faith to the town and behold mighty shops. After a little deliberation and consideration, we stumbled in our of the shops where we saw more than enough.

I wished I could pack everything in the shop to my house because they were beautiful to behold. One of the items that really captured my heart was the deep freezer. Starting from the product name to the way it was packaged I knew something good will come out of this thing. We bargained and arrive at an amount then they took us to the warehouse to pick it. Finally a friend helped us and boarded a vehicle to take back home. It's been five years now, I have never refilled or taken it for any repairs elsewhere. It has been working and serving us very well. So far so good this is one of the best purchases I have ever made without any regret.

Let me quickly Share the bad purchase I have ever made. I worked with a professional institute of management many years ago. The organisation needed a good but affordable projector. My boss quickly says let's surf the internet perhaps we get a better one. We logged in to Jumia and saw varied types so catching. We finally agreed on a particular one and decided to check the available accessories it had. It was powerfully displayed and we all liked it. My boss says let's order for it and I seconded immediately. The subsequent week, our order arrived at the office and well received. We were anxious to see what we ordered for. Hmmm we were all amazed and shocked to our bones. The projector didn't worth at all what we paid for. The most annoying thing was that we couldn't use it till date. It was a total waste of money.

It's not as if buying things online is bad oooo but sometimes one must be careful because the risk of getting the wrong thing. I have learnt my Lessons and trust God.
