CLEANING ACTIVITY FOR SATURDAY 27-4-2024

It's a beautiful day here being Saturday. This happens to be the last of the month. In this axis, the last Saturday is always significant because all the communards will be engaged in environmental sanitation between 6-10am on a Saturday. It is expected that the whole town is shut down because of this exercise till the time elapsed before you open your business.

Anyone that trespass will be penalised with a token amount of money. Some of the activities done includes clearing of bushes, waste and sweeping the compound. I want to commend my governor for such initiative and I pray he is consistent so that our heart cry concerning the needed transformation we need will be actualized. On an ordinary day, most people don't like to keep their planet or surrounding cleaned.

Some do it reluctantly whereas others put their minds and spirit together to ensure that the right thing is done. When one is consistent cleaning the community once in a month, it will soon metamorphosed to more times in the future thereby becoming as a lifestyle of the people.

In the course of today, I was able to do my part inspite of the general sanitation established by the government yet I was able to do my commitment to the planet.
