Obviously the season is upon us called Christmas. It's an annual event that christians commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Often time in Nigeria, this is characterized by lots of celebration which involves high expenditure. If proper plan isn't done, a family might be left with nothing in January because a humongous amount of money and other resources would have been spent in the name of the festivity.

It's expected of an individual to be prudent in managing resources so that lack and poverty wouldn't set in, in the name of celebration. Most at times the resultant effect of this celebration is normally felt in the first month after Christmas.
It's very important for one to be prudent even in the place of spending to avoid unnecessary expenditure that is tantamount to ruining a family.

In order to be prudent in this season you need to:

Don't spend all in the name of celebration but reserve your resources for next year.
The month of January is also 31 days so deliberate effort must be done to have financial balance during that time.

Make a small budget or plan this will be like a guide to direct you on what to do and how to effectively spend resources. Make allowances for contingencies and other miscellaneous that could crept in.

Be disciplined. You can't be prudent except you are very disciplined. There could be so many temptation to syphon money if deliberate act isn't put in place. It may not be sweat but just do it.

Manage whatever God provides for you. Don't put your self under pressure to please people instead ensure that you're very comfortable financially even after the season. Whether you cook or not it doesn't matter but your comfort plays a vital role too for your life and family.

Christmas is yearly therefore, if you weren't able to meet up this year, next year might be more better. Cheer up and be prudent with the available resources.
