One of the major errors we make as individuals on a daily basis is to allow others evaluate us. Of course evaluation by other people is good but sometimes brings our morale low due to their judgmental nature. For some reason, must of our envious friends might give us wrong facts about our progress.

What is Self-Evaluation
Self-evaluation is the process of systematically observing, analyzing and improving one’s own actions or results.

From the above definition, one can identify that self-evaluation comes with strict observation and analyzing aimed at improving and not condemning oneself. This is important because the definition gives a positive narratives about oneself.

Have you ever done or presented a report for a company and after it your colleagues gave you the blow of your life instead of commending you first for your courage and efforts that you put in?

Although, as a person, when evaluating yourself, you should be able to tell yourself the truth about the areas of your flaws and strength. Many self evaluators will give themselves 100% credit even when they'd an awful representation or presentation. This wouldn't lead such an individual to growth.

What I recommend is constructive self-evaluation. What I mean here is to tell yourself the truth when you blew it off and make adequate corrections where necessary. This will project such an individual to the roadmap of growth into becoming a better person.
