overwhelmed by my present
A million thoughts in my mind
unable to comprehend
drifting apart bit by bit
To God knows where
My instinct for survival
is all I have left

Being human
shouldn't take this much
dwelling in a constant peril
Standing still
while everything else moved on

Am I broken?
is all I could think of
can someone fetch me my sanity?
it left me awhile ago
to fend for itself

if reality becomes unyielding
Taking more than it should
let me hold unto
A bottle of whiskey
A perfect escape
from my cruel existence
where nothing else matters

I saw a picture
of who I was once
smiles as wide as the oceans
in a garden full of roses
giggling like a cricket

suddenly
reality became a burden
like volcano eruption
in a blink of an eye
the garden becomes desert
my smile wilted
the once peaceful garden
lost its beauty
leaving me behind
just like everything else
