We are differently made, reading this made me love your kind of imagination. I don't think there's anything wrong with going ahead of the present, it makes you prepare more for what's coming ahead, I know time seemed to be a limitation but then you will be at advantage if your thoughts happen to play out exactly as you imagined.

I don't see this as a form of fear of the future, it is getting prepared for the unknown. The present sometimes makes us too relax, especially if things are working the way we planned, but one thing we mostly forget is that the present is not all that there is.

This is you, you can't change who you are, what I have to say is embrace the present, enjoy it and if the thought of the future makes you double up to become a better man, then I will advise you embrace it too. We all have that thing that drives us towards a better life if the thought or imagination of the future is what drives you then please don't hold tight. Hold tight to the present for it is what you have at hand and also the imagination of the future for it is what will lead you to it.
