Hello everyone, glad to participate in this week's #Ladiesofhive community contest #134, great topic from @justclickindiva. These two topics goes hand in hand for me because securing my finances relates with my passion of becoming self employed and making my own money.

1️⃣ Some individuals are excellent planners when it comes to money matters. Others are not. If you are financially secure, how and when did you become so? If not, how do you plan to become secure in your finances?

Growing up I didn't really have any plan whatsoever on finances. I think because I am the last child and I had siblings to take care of me, from the monetary aspect, clothing, shoes and so many of my necessities, my parents especially made sure I never lack. I was in my comfort zone, and it's hard to have stability in this manner, until after my University, and I realized having my own money will make me independent.

I started teaching immediately after National Youth Service (NYSC), I was happy atleast am far from unemployment, but the salary is low compared to the stress. Is this how I want to secure my finances. NO. I made up my mind to learn skills and any online business that can generate income for as long as it is legit. All thanks to Hive. I am not financially stable now, but I know with time and hardwork I will achieve this stability. This is one of my steps to being financially stable

2️⃣ A passion is a value that one holds dear. What are you passionate about in life? If you have not yet discovered a passion, what would you like to be passionate about?

We can be passionate about different things, but there will be one that we love most and have strong interest in.

Fashion designing is what I have passion for and I will like to be on my own one day, it is very interesting, when you love something you always want to do it and be around it ,it's just like someone you love, you will want to be around them. Everyday you can't do without your passion because your mind is always on it.

When something is your passion, you will find a way to deal with it no matter how challenging it is. This is the second time am going to learn fashion designing, the first one was disrupted and I started all over again, ans also trying to develop myself by watching free tutorials online.

Hello @elizabeth2323. Becoming financially security is not an easy task. It does take planning, then working towards that goal. I feel you are on the right track when you say:

Good luck in your journey to becoming financially secure. Also, your passion for design is awesome. I see you're doing what you feel will assist in your efforts by watching tutorials to become familiar with the craft. Good luck in this venture too.
